At least four people have died and more than 30 others injured after a bridge collapsed into a river at a tourist site in Pune, India.

Footage showed ongoing rescue operations at the site, with National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) teams on foot and in a boat appearing to help pull people from the water under the fallen bridge.

At least six people were hospitalized in critical condition, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis wrote on X.

Local media reported that scores of tourists were on the bridge when it collapsed, plunging many into the swollen river.

Anti-tourism protesters clashed with hotel staff in Barcelona, appearing to fire flares and water pistols in a display of unrest on Sunday 15 June.

The incident was part of a wave of coordinated demonstrations across major European tourist hotspots, aimed at challenging the growing impact of "touristification."

Footage from the protest appears to capture a loud bang, followed by demonstrators spraying hotel staff with water pistols and kicking a flare into a hotel entrance as they marched down the street.

The US embassy in Tel Aviv has suffered damage after an Iranian missile struck a residential area of the city, the ambassador to Israel said.

Several residential buildings were destroyed in a strike that blew out the windows of hotels and other nearby homes just a few hundred metres from the embassy branch, which suffered minor damage. No staff were injured but the embassy will remain closed, ambassador Mike Huckabee said.

Overnight explosions also rocked Israel’s port city Haifa as both Iran and Israel continue to target each other with devastating missiles and airstrikes.

At least 10 people were killed in Iranian strikes overnight and into Sunday in Israel, according to Israel’s Magen David Adom rescue service, bringing the country’s total death toll to 13.

Four people were killed when an Iranian missile struck a building in the northern Israeli town of Tamra and another 24 were wounded.

A strike on the central city of Rehovot wounded 42 people.
