A hidden camera has captured the first glimpse of a rare snow leopard born at a zoo in the UK.

The cub is the first of its kind to be born at Chester Zoo in its 94-year history.

Zoo teams have been monitoring the cub and its first-time parents, Nubra, three, and Yashin, three, using a special den camera that captured adorable moments between the family.

Watch as thousands of protesters in Australia marched across Sydney Bridge as part of a pro-Palestine rally on Sunday (3 August).

Aerial footage shows demonstrators walking through torrential rain across the iconic bridge, whilst other clips show protesters wielding flags and placards as they chant “free Palestine” around the city.

The planned protest, which involved around 90,000 people according to New South Wales police, was authorised by the Supreme Court just one day prior on Saturday (2 August) in what organises called a “historic decision”.

This is the moment police officers in Colorado came face to face with a ‘slippery’ and vocal young goat.

The animal escaped its owner’s property from a gap in the fencing on Friday (25 July), according to the Wheat Ridge Police Department. Body cam from the Community Services team shows officers attempt to capture the goat with a catch pole.

Watch as police clash with protesters and counter protesters outside a hotel that is used to accommodate asylum seekers on Saturday (2 August).

Footage shows Metropolitan Police officers scuffling with a range of protesters, many wearing face coverings, as they shout at either side to “get back”.

Demonstrators have gathered outside the Thistle City Barbican Hotel in central London to protest against the building being used to house immigrants, with organisers using the slogan “Thistle Barbican needs to go – locals say no”.

A counter protest, organised by Stand Up To Racism and supported by former Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn and other groups, is running simultaneously.

King Charles III wore a red kilt as he visited Caithness in the north of Scotland on Monday, 28 July.

His Majesty has a long-standing affection for the area and is a regular summer visitor to the nearby Castle of Mey.

Charles was in Scrabster to meet with key figures working in the nuclear sector.

The visit was hosted by the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA) to mark the 70th anniversary of the Dounreay nuclear site.

Dounreay was a leading research centre for scientists and engineers experimenting with plutonium, uranium and other metals to generate electricity using advanced types of nuclear reactor.

This research ended in the 1990s. The site is now Scotland’s largest nuclear clean-up, waste management and demolition project, to make the land safe for future generations.

Donald Trump has sent two nuclear submarines “near Russia” after former Russian president Dmitry Medvedev threatened the US with a nuclear strike.

Mr Trump said he was ordering the American vessels to the “appropriate regions” due to the “highly provocative statements of the former president of Russia”.

Mr Medvedev, who is deputy chairman of Russia's Security Council, told the US president to remember Moscow had Soviet-era nuclear strike capabilities after Mr Trump threatened further sanctions over the Ukraine war.

Mr Trump said the move was a precautionary measure “just in case these foolish and inflammatory statements are more than just that.”

Lenders have avoided potentially having to pay compensation to millions of drivers, after the Supreme Court ruled they are not liable for hidden commission payments in car finance schemes, but some motorists may still receive payouts.

The UK’s highest court ruled that car dealers did not have a relationship with their customers that would require them to act “altruistically” in the customers’ interest.

The decision comes after two lenders, FirstRand Bank and Close Brothers, challenged a Court of Appeal ruling which found “secret” commission payments, paid by buyers to dealers as part of finance arrangements made before 2021, without the motorist’s fully informed consent, were unlawful.

The ruling in October last year found that three motorists, who all bought their cars before 2021, should receive compensation after they were not told either clearly enough or at all that the car dealers, acting as credit brokers, would receive a commission from the lenders for introducing business to them.

However, the Supreme Court judges said that some customers could still receive payouts by bringing claims under the Consumer Credit Act (CCA).
