Our guest was born in the USSR into a military orphanage, he barely recalls life with his parents. At one point he dreamt of being an astronaut but he knew early on that his path was already paved and he would pursue a military career himself. For boys like him, that was their only path to success and he embraced it. What he didn't know at a young age perhaps was how his environment would shape him, how he would grow faster than others his age, how life would expose him to the darkness of war. Before moving to the United States with his now ex-wife, he served in the Army and the Secret Service in Kazakhstan.
For the past 8 year, our guest has been a New York City based ISSA CERTIFIED FITNESS TRAINER. He is experienced in Fitness therapy, Strength and conditioning, Weight loss, Olympic weightlifting, MMA training / Boxing, Post trauma recovery and prevention of future injuries.

Sara is the epitome of a pit to peak journey, she literally rose up from the pits of a despair that was out of her control and rose up to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro. Sara had every excuse to lose herself to isolation, depression, she had every opportunity to throw her life away and yet she keeps pushing. Sara is more than an athlete and a student on a relentless pursuit, she is a reflection of the power within. Her strength in the wake of her tribulations speaks volumes around her potential to leave a legacy.
Sara Kafka recently filmed a documentary where she and three other women who had never met in person climbed Mount Kilimanjaro together. Sara was born into a storm. Her father was a sexual predator. When she turned eight, she watched her father being arrested; her mother was the one who had turned him in. She lost a piece of both of her parents that day. She was forced to grow up quickly and did her best to keep everyone hanging on, protecting her older sisters and trying to instill humor into the family dynamics. Sara barely graduated high school, and college wasn't an option. After a brief stint in NYC at an acting conservatory, Sara went to work. She would use the years in her early twenties and thirties to work her way up to being on an executive board. Here she was met with limitations, bias, and glass ceilings.
Finally, at 32, she decided she was tired of fighting; she decided to take a chance on herself and her actual dreams and pursue a college degree. It's here that she was met with her most significant obstacles. Being older, with disabilities, in an affluent community, trying to make her way through the structural barriers of becoming a doctor. The financial pressures of having to succeed, the inequalities of the program, and the competition of her colleges spiraled her into a deep depression. She gained 50 pounds, stopped caring for herself, and sometimes washing her face that day was her most significant accomplishment. Sara wanted to climb Mount Kilimanjaro because she wanted the mountain to reveal to her who she really was. Was she the resilient little girl who survived all the horrible things in her past? Or was she this inept, weak, and unintelligent person who now resided in a body she didn't recognize. Mount Kilimanjaro would reveal to her- her fight. A fight she has taken with her towards the next descent of reclaiming her health and her power on the mission to becoming a doctor.

What was your COVID project? For Max, that was building a clothing brand worn by artists like LL Cool J and Post Malone as well A-Listers such as Kendall Jenner. But this wasn't just any clothing brand. Max was building his brand methodically, focused on keeping production in house in and around New York City to create a locally sourced clothing line while staying true to his father's mission of helping those in need via equine therapy. Each sale contributes a portion of the amount to local therapy programs like HorseAbility that supports doctors, nurses, veterans, people with PSTD, and children with special needs. You might see Siegelman Stable hats as a "if you know, you know" pop culture clothing brand, but Max's true mission is much grander than that.
Max Siegelman is the founder for Siegelman Stable, an emerging premier fashion brand. He has worked with Kanye West, Virgil Abloh, LL Cool J, Brandon Marshall, and more while also expanding his reach with brand collaborations including multiple NBA teams, Puma, Hypebeast, Lexus and beyond. Max also runs cultural relevance for the largest out of home media agency, OUTFRONT Media.

Michael Chernow on paper is a New York City bred entrepeneur, loving father and husband. He's also a marathoner and professional bodybuilder. But If you've been following his journey, you quickly realize that Michael has undoubtedly experienced moments of enlightenment on his path. What you likely can't tell by looking at his accomplishments is the era of darkness, instability, and insecurity that was mired by bad choices some of which were a result of his trauma and some of which were self-induced. Michael admits to looking for love in the wrong places as a child from a broken home. Michael recalls hating himself, he cheated death on his path and despite bottoming out physically, it took a series of events before he found himself on a positive trajectory. Michael talks about how it took him years of healing to learn to love himself, he shares the ultimatum he was given as an inflection point for his life and the way it changed his life in an "unbelievably positive way."
Most recently, Michael founded and launched Kreatures of Habit, an in-your-face lifestyle and wellness brand, reimagining how you establish healthy habits in your life. After years in the restaurant business in NYC, he realized that his calling was to be of service in a more personal way, with the ability to impact more lives. Honoring his 17 years of sobriety by launching his newest venture, Michael’s goal with KOH was to create easily-accessible nutritional products that are rooted in adopting the positive habits that transformed his life, and allowed him to replace alcohol with the nutrition and fitness he needed. Michael launched KOH because he wanted to share his belief in habits through his personal story of change, how our habits determine whether we are going to be successful in our personal and professional lives, just get by, or worse, be miserable. He’s a firm believer that every time we replace a bad habit with a good one, big or small, the greater a chance we have to live our best lives. Part of the KOH brand is the Kreatures of Habit Podcast, where Michael dives into his guests’ routines and habits, and how committing to them has helped paved the path to success. He hopes to share these success stories with listeners, but also to acknowledge just how much it takes to get there.
Before launching KOH, Michael cultivated an extraordinary career for himself. After receiving an Associate’s Degree in both Culinary Arts and Restaurant Management in 2008 from the French Culinary Institute, he channeled his fire for culinary and community by curating and building some of New York City’s beloved restaurants. He opened The Meatball Shop in 2009 with childhood friend Daniel Holzman, which grew to several locations across New York City and resulted in the release of The Meatball Shop Cookbook in 2011, co-authored by Michael and released by Ballantine Books. In 2015, he founded SEAMORE’s, a Manhattan restaurant that combines Michael’s love of fishing and culinary expertise, expanding to five locations peppered across New York City. Michael’s impressive resume includes managing thirteen properties and four companies, hosting two seasons (26 episodes) of Food Porn on the FYI Network, being featured in the CNBC docuseries, Consumed: The Real Restaurant Business and appearing in many cooking shows including the Food Network’s Beat Bobby Flay, Kitchen Casino, and Chopped. In addition, Michael holds a natural pro status within the Organization of Competitive Bodybuilders (OCB), has run a number of marathons and is known for challenging himself mentally and physically for hobby.

On this episode, Bishoy has an open conversation with Ethan Zohn, the winner of the reality TV series, Survivor: Africa. Ethan is a soccer enthusiast who has played, coached, and managed across the globe and he is also most notably, a cancer survivor who bravely fought against two diagnoses within a short span of time. Ethan describes what it is like to have a survivor mindset and what kept him going in the face of life's most adverse moments. He talks not only about the physical toll of competing on the show and the years of treatment in his fight against Lymphoma, Ethan gets vulnerable in sharing the pits of his journey both mentally and emotionally and the toll of being in the public eye. Despite everything, Ethan survived by turning his woes into a source of positivity, he used his winnings from Survivor to fund Grassroot Soccer, an organization which has raised over $120 Million to date in efforts to support at-risk youth in developing countries.
Ethan Zohn is a humanitarian, inspirational speaker and television host; former professional soccer player; cancer survivor and advocate; winner of the hit reality television show, CBS’s Survivor: Africa; contestant on season 40 of Survivor: Winners at War, author and inventor; and co-founder of the global non-profit, Grassroot Soccer. He has found purpose through his humanitarian work and community involvement, and believes that a better and healthier world can be achieved through education, advocacy and inspiration.
In 2002, Ethan used a portion of his Survivor: Africa winnings to help found Grassroot Soccer (GRS), an adolescent health organization that leverages the power of soccer to educate, inspire, and mobilize at-risk youth in developing countries to overcome their greatest health challenges, live healthier, more productive lives, and be agents for change in their communities. To date, the organization has reached over 18 million youth in over 60 countries with critical health information, access to health services, and mentorship. Ever the tireless and creative promoter, in 2008, Ethan embarked on a record-breaking 550-mile journey on foot, from Boston, MA to Washington, D.C., dribbling a soccer ball the entire route, to raise money and build awareness for GRS.
In 2009, as a fit, active, 35-year-old former professional soccer player who had traveled the world on behalf of the international health community through Grassroot Soccer, Ethan became an unlikely face of cancer. Diagnosed not once but twice with CD20+ Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in the span of several years, Ethan endured years of aggressive treatment, including two stem cell transplants. Never losing optimism, spirit, or humor despite extraordinary rigors and setbacks, Ethan used his journey and considerable platform to connect with others – young adults in particular – and offer much-needed inspiration, advice, and comfort.
As demonstrated by his charitable work with various global and domestic health and wellness organizations, and community involvement Ethan believes his inspiration to help heal the world stems from being taught at an early age the importance of kindness, community and a connection to social goodness.
Ethan is a graduate of Vassar College, and he has played and coached soccer professionally in Zimbabwe, the United States, and as a member of the US National team for the 1997, 2001 and 2022 Maccabi Games in Israel and 2004 Pan-American Maccabi Games in Chile

“Be the rock that makes the rapids,” Kane shares as the wisdom that’s carried him through a journey of hard work. From an unstable childhood, Kane was known for choosing the hardest way, not due to stubbornness but the desire always to be a student. But continuing to be the rock that makes the rapids, Kane worked longer, harder, faster than what seemed like everyone and was then rewarded time and again.

This is a Tinder love story with a twist or three..
Starting place: absolute hell. Ricky’s childhood was an ever compounding poker hand of torture, although he might call it a blessing. Ricky’s passion for growth mindset is evident in his every word, reshaping adversity into positive opportunity.
Ricky’s partner Asia, while being dealt a completely different hand, admittedly having it pretty good until tragedy struck, ended up with the same mindset. How do two people so individually focused on personal growth end up as perfect partners?
Asia Ellmer-Wright, born in California, raised in North Carolina. Her mother passed away at 15 of cancer and she was forced to grow up quickly, finding a job and a place to live. She went into the working field immediately and hasn’t looked back since. Asia says she was blessed to find the solar industry nearly 4 years ago where she got her start in door to door sales and has since made millions and completely transformed the way she parents her children, the quality of spouse she is for my husband, her friendships, and has since developed as a servant leader within the industry. Asia is addicted to the expansion of her being in the words of Ed Mylett, and she has a passion for helping people of all walks of life, achieve better.
Richard Wright grew up in welcome North Carolina moved around multiple states, graduated from North Davidson high school, went to the military for a four year term, while Time in the military took over second in the world in powerlifting at the ages of 20 to 23 years old. Started knocking doors for the solar industry and now has multiple companies across industries highlighted through his work in real estate.
