Daily as we rise we are to commit to living for Christ. Jesus gives us the example of how to run the race of life because He did it perfectly. We are to emulate Christ as the perfect teacher of how to do this. He was obedient to the cross.

Romans 8-29-39 says,For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. Obedience is inseparable in knowing God. His commandments are not burdensome. This is a way of contentment and joy. Only if we follow God do we prove that He is Lord.

Christ is the author and finisher of our faith. He gives us the power to desire a Holy life. He predestined us as sons and daughters by Jesus Christ Himself to the praise and glory by which He made us acceptable. We should make it our aim to please Him.

How do I serve God acceptably- By pursuing holiness in scripture reading , daily prayer, encouraging and edifying other Christians. By following the commandments of God and being a faithful servant we can enter into the joy of our Lord.

Just like old testament saints we have been chosen to praise God. We as Christians should be living our life with praise for the Lord. We all must appreciate the sacrifice of Christ on the cross. We must be faithful in all aspects of our life. It most certainly should show in our actions.

Martyrs are persecuted for their faith and will be rewarded for their perseverance. Tragic events in our life will be rewarded if we continue in the faith. John 16-31-33 -In the world you will have tribulation, but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.-

When we are without faith we are empty. Romans 7-21 - I find then a law, that evil is present with me, the one who wills to do good. When we rest and walk with the Lord we see His provisions. Romans 7-22 -For I delight in the law of the God according to the inward man.- For true peace we must rely on Christ for our daily provisions.

Unless we act upon God's word His promises stay on the pages of the Bible. If we don't move we don't experience God's rewards. For we walk by faith not by sight. Do not walk in place and be stagnant. Walk forward acting on God's calling in your life.
