Cheryl Okuda is a professional dancer, educator, facilitator of anti-racism, early childhood education specialist and mother. She is the co-founder of Pokuda, a resource for multicultural support for young learners, centering social-emotional learning. Cheryl aspires to continue preparing new educators, while continuing to create and teach within her dance community.

More About Cheryl:
Cheryl Okuda began her dance training at the age of seven and has trained in ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, modern, pointe, musical theater, and hip-hop.
Cheryl has earned many awards for her dancing and choreography in several Midwest Competitions throughout the Chicagoland area. She has a minor in dance from Columbia College and was a proud company member of Boom Crack! Dance Company for 10 years.
While dance and choreography will always be a passion of hers and something she continues to develop, teaching is Cherylʼs true calling. In addition to teaching dance, Cheryl holds a degree in Early Childhood Education and has been a preschool teacher for over 7 years. She is a co-founder of Pokuda, an organization dedicated to anti-biased education. She is also the founder of Small Voices Big Ideas, an online tutoring service specializing in Early Childhood Social-Emotional Skills.
The famous quote stated by Peter Drucker, “Culture eats strategy for breakfast,” is our source of inspiration for this episode.

About Tee-Ta & Tiffany:
Tee-Ta Walker and Tiffany Scott met at a business conference in Florida in 2018. After discovering that they were both Brand Strategists, they hit it off. Many similarities followed; however, the most significant disparity (ignorance and privilege - on Tiffany's part) was where the friendship grew at lightning speed. Weird right?
After a very candid conversation about race at dinner, they knew they had to bring the conversations they were having out from behind closed doors, and 'A BLACK GIRL A WHITE GIRL' podcast and videocast was born.
Tee-Ta received her MBA in Marketing Management. As the founder of Tee-Ta Walker & Associates, LLC, a Creative and Analytical Brand Strategist, she helps businesses build a brand that connects, relates, and achieves marketplace influence.
Tiffany, the Australian native, honed her skills working as a Brand and Marketing Director for international powerhouse brands, re-injecting life and vibrancy into a household name as iconic as Speedo. The founder of You Me She Collective, Tiffany, has helped businesses create brands focused on social good.
