Mindset, Magic & Mechanics with Laura Banks

Something I see a lot of, particularly in new coaches who are just starting out and growing their business, is this story, these beliefs, this narrative that they need to have overcome any mindset issues, and I say issues in inverted commas, before being able to show up and take action to create their vision and stepping into their business. Perhaps it's that they need to not feel fear or to be fully confident or to not feel any self doubt. Before they can be in action they need to get that sorted. And I call bullshit on that. And so in today's episode, I'm going to riff on some truths about mindset work, and again, I'm saying work in inverted commas, that you probably didn't expect to hear from a mindset coach. In sharing these perspectives with you, I hope to support you if you have been feeling like you can't take action and you can't be showing up for your business and your vision for your business until you work through any mindset challenges or limiting beliefs that you might be experiencing.

In today's episode, I'm gonna share with you three ways that our subconscious works. Three ways that it likes to receive information and interpret information. And the reason why this is really powerful to know is because you can then, as you are doing your own mindset work, start to send information and communicate with your subconscious in a way that it likes to receive and interpret information. When we do that, it's more easily integrated and embodied, and we start to see those long lasting and powerful shifts in our mindset sooner.

Self-doubt is a completely human and normal part of the journey to starting and growing our own successful and thriving businesses. In fact, it's a good sign, right? Self-doubt shows up when we are stepping out of our comfort zone, when we're stretching, when we're learning new things, when we're growing. And it in fact shows that we are reaching the boundary conditions of our thinking, and we are ready to go to a new level, see a new perspective, a new way of thinking about things or experiencing things or showing up for ourselves and our vision. And so the thing is that I see many people not being in action because of self-doubt. They're holding back. They're not taking consistent action. They're constantly doubting themselves. And that takes a lot of energy that could otherwise be directed towards their vision, and showing up for their vision and bringing their own brand of magic to the world. And so that's why in today's episode, I'm going to share with you three questions and one action that you can take to support yourself to be in action even when you're experiencing self-doubt. 

Here is the piece that I think is missing from the conversation when we are starting and growing new coaching businesses. I think it's a conversation that we need to be having a lot more, and it is about building momentum in your new coaching business. So, in the context of building your new coaching business, what does it look like? What does building momentum look like? Before you work with 10 clients, you need to work with one. You need to believe that you are worthy of working with one client. If you want to hit a 10K month, or 10K months, you need to hit 1K months, or 3K months, or 5K months. If you want a community of thousands, you need to start with a community of 10, a mailing list of 10, or a social media following of 100. The key to bringing your vision to life is tiny steps, taken consistently. That will build momentum, and lead to exponential growth and results. The flow of clients, the income, the engaged community, the lifestyle and business you vision for yourself. And so, the way that we can do this is by looking at the mindset, magic and mechanics of building momentum.

I'm gonna be sharing with you the first part in a two part planning process. I know that a lot of people right now are feeling really tired, feeling really weary, and as we're moving towards the end of the year, it can be really tempting to check out.But I actually believe that right now is a really potent energy that we can tap into to help us plan for 2022. The process that I'm gonna be sharing with you is probably a little unconventional. This first part may not be what your expecting, or what you've heard before in relation to planning, but it's a really powerful process where you can be really lovingly discerning with yourself about what has worked for you in your business, and life, what hasn't worked for you in your business, and life, and then we can take that information and use it to build out your vision for 2022.

In today's episode, I'm going to talk to you about a tiny but powerful practice. This practice is something that you're already doing anyway, and it has the power to shift everything for you. That's something that I don't say lightly. But when you consciously lean into and align with this practice, this process that you're already doing every day, it can create exponential results for you, support you to move through resistance, and be in action every day towards your goals, your vision, and creating the results that you want to experience in your life and business.

If you're on a journey of any sort, if you're growing in any way, whether it's a personal journey or you're starting or growing your business, there will be times where it feels like a struggle. And there will be times where you experienced setbacks along the way. Things don't always go to plan or the way that we want them to. This is all a normal part of business and life. And so the difference that makes a difference in how you respond to and move through these times is in how you think about them, the meaning that you give them. And so when I talk about a re frame, this is what I'm talking about. How can you shift the way that you think about struggle and setbacks so that it supports you? How can you choose a different perspective or frame through which to view, struggle and setbacks so that your experience of it is different and supports you to continue to show up for your dreams and your vision. 

There is no one right way to do business or life. There is no one definition of success that's better or more worthy than another. There is no one magic strategy that is going to guarantee you the results that you want to experience in life or business. We each bring our own subconscious programming and mindset to everything that we do. We each bring our own unique life circumstances to everything that we do. And so we each also bring our own vision for our business and how our business fits in with our life, to everything that we do. 

There is a way to do life and business that feels good and gets results. And that way is going to be unique for all of us. And it will potentially shift and change as all of the things that I've just mentioned above, our mindset, our life circumstances, and our vision shift and change too. The key, to figuring out the unique to use strategies that are going to support you to bring your vision to life that are going to support you to overcome challenges and bumps in the road, that are going to support you to achieve your definition of success and grow the business that you desire, or anything else that you want to achieve in your life, lies in understanding your you print. When you know your you print, you have a blueprint, like an operating manual that is going to support you to show up at your best to thrive and to achieve what it is that you want to in life and business in a way that feels good and gets results.
