  • Are the Transfer Portal and NIL Ruining College Sports?
A common refrain among college fans is, "The Transfer Portal and NIL are ruining college sports." But are they? Before we can answer that question, we have to be able to explain what is happening, and Austrian economics provides the best analytical tools.
    Narrated by Millian Quinteros.

Presented in New York, New York, on Sunday, 14 November 1971.

According to Dr. Joseph Salerno, "NEP stands for 'New Economic Policy' which was the official name of Nixon's August 15 wage-and-price freeze, tariff surcharge, closing of the gold window, etc. Ironically, NEP also was the name of Lenin's 1921 policy that moved back from totally centralized communism to allowing money, prices, and profit in certain areas of the economy."

  • Tom DiLorenzo: Lincoln Unmasked
Gabriel Custodiet speaks with Tom DiLorenzo about his efforts to expose Abraham Lincoln. Pushing against the soft “saint-like” treatment that historians have granted Lincoln, DiLorenzo exposes Lincoln’s totalitarian tendencies, his contribution to the birth of American fiat currency, his war crimes, among other reasons to have disdain for the lauded president. Ultimately DiLorenzo explains how court historians can twist our understanding of history, use this twisting to advance the ends of the status quo, and themselves alter the course of history.

  • Would Trump's Plan to Replace Income Tax with Tariffs Work?
Bob analyzes President Trump's recent remarks praising the revenue capacity of tariffs. He shows that historically, tariffs only bought in a small fraction of what income taxes currently yield, meaning federal spending would have to be sharply cut in order to phase out the income tax.
