  • The Big Lebowski (1998) | Missing Frames #34
While it was dismissed upon its release in 1998, The Big Lebowski's reputation as a cult classic has only grown through the years, with many now considering it one of the Coens' finest works and one of the best comedies of all time. In celebration of the film's 20th anniversary, Lee Hutchison (Filibuster) has finally gotten around to watching it for the first time and graces Missing Frames with his presence once more to discuss whether it lived up to his expectations, his favorite moments and where The Big Lebowski ranks with the Coen Brothers' other works.

  • My Dinner with Andre (1981) | Missing Frames #33
Missing Frames goes full-on philosophical like never before! Dan Rainer makes his first Missing Frames appearance to discuss one of his favorite films: My Dinner with Andre. Shawn has never seen it but many of his favorite filmmakers have been influenced by its unique, dialogue-driven narrative and style. Join the two of them as they discuss their thoughts on the film itself and the many issues it brings to the forefront, such as social interaction, what it means to live life to the fullest and the dangers of complacency.

  • Before Midnight (2013) | Missing Frames #32
It's been a year since John Mills (Aggressive Negotiations, Great Shot Kid, Words with Nerds) joined Shawn Eastridge on Missing Frames to review Richard Linklater's Before Sunrise, and six months since John's first viewing of its beloved sequel Before Sunset. Now, Shawn and John reunite for John's first viewing of the third (and hopefully not final) film in this series: Before Midnight. Along the way, they'll discuss The Before Trilogy's legacy, their hopes for the series' continuation and why Midnight might be the most romantic of the three, despite its somber mood.

  • The Abyss (1989) | Missing Frames #31
Darren Moser (Ceti Alpha 3, Goodnight Moon) makes his first Missing Frames appearance to talk about his favorite film, a film Shawn has never seen. James Cameron's The Abyss. Released in summer 1989, The Abyss was considered a cinematic game changer thanks to its underwater photography and groundbreaking visual effects. It was also considered to be a nightmare to shoot by everyone involved in its production, Cameron included. (To this day, certain cast members refuse to discuss it.) Sadly, it didn't make much of an impact at the box office, barely recouping its production costs. To this day, it feels like the forgotten film in Cameron's filmography, especially considering its release was sandwiched between two of Cameron's best and biggest films, Aliens and Terminator 2: Judgment Day. Shawn and Darren discuss why The Abyss deserves to be a part of the conversation and why it could be one of his best efforts.

  • Dirty Harry (1971) | Missing Frames #30
In 1971, Clint Eastwood and Don Siegel introduced audiences to a new kind of hero: Inspector Harry Callahan, a.k.a. Dirty Harry. He's rough, he's tough, he's not interested in your excuses and he'll do anything he can to get the job done (hence the nickname). The groundbreaking action flick became an unexpected success for Warner Bros. and went on to spawn four sequels. In this historic 30th Missing Frames episode, Dirty Harry devotee Brad Gullickson of the In the Mouth of Dorkness Podcast makes his first appearance on the show to help guide Shawn through his first-ever viewing of the film.

  • Frozen (2013) | Missing Frames #29
Happy 2018, everybody! Do you...want to build a snowman?

For the first Missing Frames episode of the new year, Sarah gets first movie pick, and in honor of the snowstorms and frigid weather that has graced the U.S., she chose the popular animated Disney flick Frozen, which Shawn has never seen. Believe it or not, Frozen is the highest grossing animated film of all time, and thanks to its memorable soundtrack and characters, it appears poised to go down as a classic. But is it really that good? Shawn and Sarah discuss what they liked/disliked about the movie and whether or not the soundtrack is its true star. This could indeed be the official FINAL word on Frozen, so don't miss it!

This episode is dedicated to the memory of Adele Dazeem, the favorite singer/songwriter of so many. Especially John Travolta.
