The SS Béchimo is one of the most famous ghost ships in history. It was a cargo steamer that got trapped in Arctic ice in 1931 and was abandoned by its crew. Amazingly, the ship didn't sink and was spotted drifting around the Arctic for decades afterward, with the last confirmed sighting in 1969. Despite many attempts to salvage it, the Béchimo seemed to have a mind of its own and always eluded capture. To this day, no one knows what happened to the ship, adding to its eerie legend.
