It is time for the 2020 edition of the Mississippi State Am, and the field is loaded with great players. We spend some time this week breaking down the field and we are excited to see how it all plays out. We also spent time discussing the PGA Tour's rash of withdrawals from this week's Traveler's Championship due to COVID concerns. Also we spend a few minutes highlighting the Mississippians in the field at the Korn Ferry event in Utah this week. 

Join us this week as Matt was able to catch up with Rocky Shipes. Rocky has done it all in the golf world, he has competed on the Long Drive Circuit, he has helped raise millions of dollars for charity golf events through his engaging trick shot performances, and what we learned on this episode is that he is a GREAT story teller. You are not going to want to miss this one. 

PGA Tour and KFT Golf is back this week. The guys discuss the return of the tours and the ripple effects it has across the professional golf ranks. We also discuss Amateur and Jr Golf tourneys kicking back off throughout the state and region. Enjoy the listen and we are glad to be back!

Sanford Moore is back again to talk with us about all of the COVID craziness, what is keeping us sane and what we are looking forward to when we get to return to "normal"in the months ahead. We also discuss the proposed Majors and Ryder Cup schedule released by the PGA this week and are trying to take it all with a grain of salt. 

It is a crazy time that we are living in right now and the golf world is no different than anywhere else as we try to "flatten the curve" of the reach of COVID-19. We were able to catch up with the USM Men's Golf Coach ,Eddie Brescher, and also the Mississippi State Women's Coach, Ginger Brown-Lemm, to get a little bit of perspective from those on the front lines of this with their athletes (again apologies for the audio quality of interview with coach Brown-Lemm). In these crazy times, we want to keep telling you the story of Mississippi golf and hope we can be an outlet for you. 

This week Matt flies solo and recaps a busy week in College Golf, highlighed by Delta State's dominating performance in the Mississippi College Tourney. Lots of great college golf coverage this week that you wont' want to miss. 

On this weeks episode we discuss the flooding around the Jackson area and some of its effects on the golfing community as well as recap a good start for our D1 college programs over the last week. 

We wrap up this week's episode with JP Guidry's 4th Pillar of golf fitness on Nutrition. This segment starts around the 21 minute mark of the episode. 

This week we look back at Davis Riley's KFT win in Panama and also discuss the Distance Report that was released by the USGA recently. It was a very lively discussion to say the least. Also we wrapped up the episode by sharing the next installment of JP Guidry's Pillars of Golf Fitness with his 3rd Pillar. Thanks again to JP for sharing these Pillars with us. We are once again joined by our friend Sanford Moore as we break down what we are looking forward to in Mississippi Golf in 2020. Also we discuss the possible course development happening on the old Colonial Country Club site and we ventured down several other rabbit holes during this week's episode.
