Thank you for joining today for our newest episode of Mo-Nection.
Mo-Nection is a community for women who are seeking Connection, Communication, and Courage.
Join Amanda and I for Part 3 of our friendship series. Amanda is a coffee lover so I'd suggest you pour yourself a cup of coffee and listen in.
Amanda gets real about the joys and challenges of navigating friendship while being a busy mom. She starts off by saying her husband is her top priority, but having friendships outside of the home is an important piece of overall well being. She offers great advice to others when it comes to friendship encouraging individuals to find people who align with your values and understand your schedule all while allowing space to pick up where you left off.
Friendship is not only possible when you have a busy family, but necessary. With intention you can sneak away for a girls getaway even if it's for the night. You'll have stories and memories to share for days ahead. We shared a couple examples of what type of trips we have taken over the years to help give you ideas.
Take a listen. We hope this episode leaves you laughing from time to time and motivates you to reach out and connect with one of your besties!

This week in Mo-Nection you hear from one of our OG Mo-Nection members:
Kari Hooker-Leep.
Kari starts by saying "Friendships look different" depending on which specific person you are referring to. So true! She shares her insight with listeners who are looking to create connections by encouraging women to be open to those that think differently and even trying out an activity you hadn't considered before.
This episode leaves a person pondering about what secret sauce you bring to friendship. How the smallest item can make an impact on others. For Kari, that is her caring heart and natural ability to be a cheerleader of others. Take a listen!

In today's episode, I share a story about the time I told my boss "No" all because I was afraid that I may appear foolish. Can you imagine little younger Venus who is in her first job out of college looking at her boss and turning down an opportunity that would not only help me grow, but also serve others in the meantime?
If you are someone who has let fear or appearing foolish hold you back from saying yes, this episode is for you. The good news is life gives us changes to answer differently the next time a scary ask comes our way.
Enjoy!

One topic I get asked about on repeat is my morning routine. Truth be told, I've always been a person who goes to bed early and rises with the sun. That may make this whole routine bit earlier. How I define a successful morning may look totally different than yours. A key area to consider is: What season of life am I in? Is a successful morning when you get the kids out of bed and out the door on time? Or perhaps you are in a season where you have more space and flexibility to start your day. Where ever you are, make it your own.
In this episode I discuss the six things I do before I head out for my morning workout. As you listen, maybe there are a couple you can sprinkle into your day. Enjoy!

I couldn't pass up the opportunity to use Mother's Day as a reason to bring my mom on the podcast. If you are lucky enough to have your mom around, take an opportunity to sit down and ask her questions you've wanted to know.
In this episode you'll hear all about my mom's newest child, Bear. He is her beloved dog that I am almost certain has replaced us. How faith was instilled in my life at a young age and stories about my upbringing that were my mom's to share and not mine. Have a tissue handy. One minute we were laughing and the next minute I had tears.
I hope you enjoy this episode as much as I did!

This episode is a special treat. Juliet is a dear friend and one of my favorite people to have a coffee chat with. Our conversations leave me challenged, inspired, and energized.
Juliet is an idea generator and multi business owner. Just over a year ago, she took action on making this past year a time to invest back in herself. What a year it has been! She now is a published author of not one, but two books: Coming in Hot and The Red Thread. Her willingness to take action steps in faith have lead to multiple speaking engagements, new connections, and waves of impact.
In this episode Juliet shares helpful tips when deciding which type of group to invest in and why you should not wait to get started.

If you are interested in learning more about unblocking what's been holding you back from taking bold steps towards the future you, you'll not only want to listen to this episode but truly consider adding hypnobreathwork to your tool box. During our chat, we discussed the difference between meditation and hypnobreathwork, common subconscious blocks that women have vs men and so much more! Take a listen.
Francesca is a former New Yorker, who spent her career in advertising and marketing for top global brands, Google, Marriott and Bacardi. After 10 years of chasing an insatiable lifestyle, she experienced a radical awakening and went on a quest to find higher purpose.
