January 03, 2023 Introducing: Midnight Burger
Subscribe to Midnight Burger here!
Today it’s our great pleasure to introduce a gorgeous fiction podcast that’s taking the indie audio drama world by storm - Midnight Burger.
When Gloria took a waitressing job in a diner outside of Phoenix, she didn't realize she was now an employee of Midnight Burger, a time-traveling, dimension-spanning diner. Every day Midnight Burger appears somewhere new in the cosmos along with its staff: a galactic drifter, a rogue theoretical physicist, a sentient old-timey radio, and some guy named Caspar. No one knows who built Midnight Burger or how it works, but when it appears, there's always someone around who could really use a cup of coffee.
We love Midnight Burger. It’s one of the warmest, most thoughtful and sharply written fiction pods around, and it calls to mind all the best parts of the Hitchhiker’s Guide and Red Dwarf while still being very much it’s own thing. It’s no surprise it’s become an instant hit, having recently passed a million downloads.
We urge you to check out Midnight Burger wherever you get podcasts, or at weopenatsix.com
And now, here’s S1 E1 of Midnight Burger, entitled The Transdimensional Haboob!

November 15, 2022 Introducing: Give Me Away
It's our pleasure to introduce Give Me Away, another fabulous series from the Fable & Folly Network.
Give Me Away is a thrilling and thoughtful sci-fi drama, that imagines: what if there was such a thing as consensual body snatchers, aliens that cohabit in the minds of willing humans. What does sharing a body look like?
They call the spaceship that crashed in the Nevada desert “The Ghosthouse” because it screams—the screams of thousands of extraterrestrial political prisoners uploaded into its horrific mainframe. The only way to free them... is to transfer them into the bodies of humans willing to share their minds with an alien second consciousness. But who would volunteer for that? Graham Shapiro, divorced and adrift at age 50, is one of the first to raise his hand.
Give Me Away is written by Mac Rogers, the creator of smash hit shows Steal The Stars, LifeAfter and The Message, which between them have been downloaded 10 million, so there's some series audio drama pedigree here. And that really shows in Give Me Away. As you'll hopefully have come to expect with all the podcasts that we share with you, Give Me Away is deftly written, with stunning sound design to put you right in the action, and a wonderful cast of actors.
And now it's our pleasure to share with you, Episode 1: Is That Thing Screaming

November 01, 2022 A little bit of Mockery news!
Download the Apollo app!
Hey everyone, Laurence here - just a quick update with a little bit of exciting Mockery Manor news, and give a shout out to another show that we love.
We've been working on a little something before Season 3 starts next year.
Mockery Manor is going to have a Christmas Special! It's a brand new double-length episode, and it's coming out on the 1st of December. It was ridiculously fun to record, and we can't wait to share it with you.
So, how can you hear it? Well... you might have heard us advertising a wonderful app called Apollo - if you haven't, Apollo is a gorgeous new podcast player that's specifically geared towards fiction. And it's so worth checking out - you can find all your favourite audio dramas on there, and discover loads more. It's really easy to use, it's beautiful to look at, and my favourite part is that you can search and browse by genre of fiction. That's something no other podcast app can do. The Apollo team have also curated some really great themed lists to explore - I think our show The Ballad of Anne & Mary is on a list called "Cinematic Epic", which we really like.
But there's a new feature on Apollo - you can now support the shows you love by purchasing additional content directly on the app, and then you can listen immediately. Right now you can get bonus episodes of Omen, Sidequesting, Someone Dies In This Elevator, Midnight Burger has bonus content coming soon, loads of great shows. And on the 1st December, we're gonna be releasing our Christmas special on Apollo.
We'll remind you again when it's out, but we really hope that you'll go and download Apollo, and find some new amazing fiction shows to get lost in.
And now finally, we want to re-introduce you to a show that we shared a few months ago: Earth Eclipsed.
Earth Eclipsed is a brilliantly exciting and multi-award winning sci-fi series made by the same team that made the Apollo app - annoyingly multi-talented people. It's a wonderful show, and they have a bonus episode out today, for you to buy and listen to on Apollo. You can find the direct link to that bonus episode, along with all the other things I've mentioned, in the show notes of this episode.
Purchase the Earth Eclipsed Bonus Episode on Apollo
So please do download the Apollo app, mark December 1st in your diary for the Mockery Manor Christmas special, and now we'd like to play you the trailer for the brand new bonus episode of Earth Eclipsed.

October 18, 2022 Introducing: Red Valley
It is our absolute pleasure to introduce what we think is one of the best audio dramas we have ever heard: Red Valley.
A mystery drama about the limits of experimental science, confronting your own past, present & future, & trying to remember the level select cheat from Sonic 2.
Just an FYI, this episode has some naughtier language than you'd normally find on Mockery Manor, so please be aware if you're listening with little'uns.
Subscribe to Red Valley wherever you're listening to this, or by going here.
Enjoy!

July 13, 2022 Our New Show! Magenta Presents... Ghosted
Subscribe to Magenta Presents on your podcast player of choice!
Hey folks, Laurence here...
And today we are so excited to introduce OUR new show.
We have a new podcast that's just started, it's called MAGENTA PRESENTS.
It's a horror anthology series, in the tradition of classic anthology shows like Tales From The Crypt and Elvira, in which Madame Magenta is your horror hostess and guide to the unnatural and the bizarre.
And the first story in Magenta Presents is a five-episode miniseries called GHOSTED.
A full audio drama, written and directed by Lindsay, with music and sound design by me, and starring Beth Eyre and Lucy Roslyn in the main roles.
Perched on a rain-battered cliff edge is a former lighthouse; now a charming, boutique hotel. Owner and sole occupant Beth has spent months renovating, absorbing its essence into her bones, preparing for her first guest to arrive. But when they do, to Beth's horror, it is a figure from a past she has tried to forget. Keira. Face-to-face for the first time in years, the pair must reckon with old mistakes, old grievances. And something else, besides. Because the lighthouse has a past too.
We're going to play you the first episode now, and you can hear the next episode by subscribing to Magenta Presents wherever you get podcasts, you can also go to Long Cat Media .com, or you can tap the link in the show notes of this episode.
And now we really hope you enjoy GHOSTED, episode 1.
