What is up everyone. Hope you are all doing great. In this podcast, I discuss on the importance of consuming more alkaline foods to heal your psoriasis. When it comes to alkaline foods, many people do not know this but our foods can either be alkaline or acidic. The traditional diet that we consume on a regular basis is on the acidic side, so if we want to heal our psoriasis naturally we will consume more alkaline foods. Remember, I am not a doctor nor a dermatologist. Just a guy sharing his personal experience and insights with healing psoriasis naturally!
Healing first begins from the mind, even before dietary changes. In the book "The Secret" it discusses the importance of any disease that can be cured if the mind really believes in the treatment that is being taken by the person with the illness, natural or medical. Meditation is still something new to me, but I find when I really quit my worried mind, I can truly focus on the things that really matter and shut out the rest. I made this guided meditation for myself, and have shared it here as well. Listen to this everyday, at least once a day, either in the morning or in the night. I believe it will play a key role in healing our psoriasis!
In this podcast, I go off a rant because something came up on Instagram that really caught my attention. Someone decided to post on their Instagram claiming that they healed someone else's psoriasis using this special "7 day cure." This person did not even ask permission to use the other person's photos to claim that he had treated her. And this is totally wrong. First of all you cannot use someone else's pictures or content without their permission. And second of all, it is totally wrong to send out a false hope to all the people living with psoriasis and saying that you have some special 7 day cure. We all know at this point that psoriasis is not curable, it is only healable and controlled. And even if there was some magic treatment out their for psoriasis, I doubt it would cure someone's psoriasis in just 7 days.
Welcome to another one of my Instagram lives where I connect with a psoriasis warrior from around the world and ask them to share their psoriasis journey and experience. This episode is very special as I share with the first psoriasis person I met online. Her name is Stephanie and goes my the Instagram username CYAPSORIASIS. One thing that Stephanie pointed out that I believe I myself and many others living with psoriasis struggle with is cheat days or cheat meals. Slip ups often occur during a time where you are trying really hard to be healthy and clean. Especially if you completely start a new diet, like the plant based diet, you will miss out on a lot of foods that you were consuming before like pizza, ice cream, burgers all of which have animal protein in them. Remember, I am not a doctor nor a dermatologist. I am here just sharing my personal experience with psoriasis.
In this week's podcast, I have a great discussion with author and actor Andrew from his book ALL IN SKIN. As Andrew mentions, you have to slowly transition into a whole new way of eating. If you are accustomed to eating bacon and eggs every morning, then skip a day and have one day oatmeal and a smoothie instead, and see how that makes your body and skin feel. If you are worried about getting into celery juicing because it doesn’t taste that well or it upsets your stomach, then start off with a lower dosage. If you jump too far, you will fall down. Take small baby steps to healing your psoriasis, because indeed it’s a life long journey and not a sprint. Remember I am not a doctor nor a dermatologist. Any advice you receive from my podcast, videos, or any other form is from personal experience.
Another psoriasis chronicle episode with the one and only Reena from psoriasis_thoughts on Instagram. In this podcast, we talked on the importance of self love and acceptance living with psoriasis. Reena emphasized on how important it is to accept that you will find people who will love you based on how you look and are as a person despite how your skin looks like. Remember to share and follow us on this podcast. Enjoy.
Super foods are those considered to contain a high nutrient profile filled with many antioxidants. The foods I mention in this podcast are not necessarily to "cure" your psoriasis. However adding them into your daily diet can improve your psoriasis condition as whole. I am not a doctor or a dermatologist! I am just a guy who has psoriasis and is sharing his journey in hope I can help others along the way. Every tip or advice I share are entirely experience based as well as through my own research I try different things that may or may not work to improve my psoriasis condition, NATURALLY!
