  • 4PM: Packers' Undercooked 30-Year Draft Philosophy
Matt Hamilton and Alex Gravatt hold it down with Jim Rutledge out for the day. They get into the comments from Brian Gutekunst when he spoke to assembled media at the NFL Combine this morning.... Why does it feel like Gutey's contradicting himself when talking about the defensive front, what is up with Mark Murphy pushing this proposal to eliminate the tush push, and is always drafting for traits holding the Packers back from getting immediate impact guys? Is trusting a 30-year draft philosophy like trusting your grandma's 60-year-old, stale cookbook? Jason Wilde joins Matt and Alex Gravatt for the first time since taking his new role with Channel3000.com! They get into Brian Gutekunst's comments with the media at the NFL Combine this morning along with the Packers submitting a proposal with the NFL Rules Committee to ban the tush push! They also discuss Gutey's strategy with first-round draft picks, his jokingly (maybe) comment about getting permission from Mark Murphy to trade a first-rounder, and the team's lack of results on defense despite their 30-year commitment to picking traits over fit on defense! First, Matt and G congratulate Jason on his move, and Jason has a bone to pick with Peacock's curling coverage of Matt and his sister Becca last week. Matt and G wrap up Hour 1 by asking the fans for the favorite Molly-isms with just 7 more days before Molly returns to JM&M!

  • 5PM: Worst Draft Gutey-Isms
Matt Hamilton and Alex Gravatt hold it down with Jim Rutledge out for the day. They get into the Draft tendencies of Brian Gutekunst that bother them and the fans the most in today's Siding Unlimited poll question, asking what is Gutey's biggest flaw as a roster builder -- Never drafting a WR in Round 1, targeting traits over fit, and never going all in on a free agent. They discuss the difference between splashing the pot in free agency with really good signings (like Josh Jacobs, Xaiver McKinney, or Za'Darius Smith) versus making a push to get a difference maker at the top of the market (ie Saquon Barkley or Reggie Bush). Which first-round or early 2nd-round receivers last year could've made a difference for the Packers in 2024? Matt and G also continue taking everyone's favorite Molly-isms with Molly just seven days away from returning to the show! During Throwing Stones, Alex G goes all the way in the bag for girl scouts over boy scout popcorn!

  • 4PM: "Cringe" anti-Tush Push Proposal
Jim Rutledge is re-joined by absentee co-host Matt Hamilton, who's back after taking a tough loss with sister Becca in the mixed doubles curling national championships. Matt gives a rare thank you to his sister before burying the memories with the blue mountains of Colorado. Matt uncharacteristically cringes about the Packers, who were reportedly the ONLY TEAM that submitted a proposal to the NFL’s competition committee to ban the tush push, according to Dianna Russini of The Athletic. They ask today's Siding Unlimited poll question: Was it cringe that the Packers were the only team to submit the proposal? They discuss if the tush push is a "real football play", and did Mark Murphy get tricked into submitting this proposal, and how unbelievably cringe is Murphy compared to his NFL executive & owner peers? They play What Matt Missed, reacting to producer Primetime's curated list of newsworthy audio cuts from this past sports weekend. Matt finds out who the Brewers' play-by-play announcer is, another WI sports owner's cringey small-market comments, and which vet QB not named Aaron Rodgers could be a fit for the Vikings? They wrap Hour 1 with a deep conversation about Magic Johnson and if his sports tweets or cringe, staged, or just naive?

  • 5PM: Brian Gutekunst's Southern Drawl
Jim Rultedge and Matt Hamilton continue taking submissions of fans' favorite "Molly-isms" in honor of Molly Brown returning to the show next Tuesday! Jim risks jinxing the winter weather gods by starting to store away his heavier winter weather gear starting in late February! They ask when is the right time to start putting away winter weather gear in Wisconsin: late February, March or April? Matt puts his mind into GM mode, as role plays as Brian Gutekunst while taking theoretical questions that reporters might ask during Gutey's actual media availability at the NFL Combine tomorrow morning. They ask today's second Siding Unlimited poll question: If you could give Gutey truth serum, what one question would you ask him? During Throwing Stones, producer Primetime asks AITAH for fumbling his way into winning a raffle for a local distillery! They wrap up discussing the Aaron Rodgers conundrum -- would he be a better solution for teams trying to get over the playoff hump or looking for a bridge starter?

  • 4PM: Damn Shaved Yankees
Jim Rutledge and Alex Gravatt hold it down for their final show of the week while Matt Hamilton is out for the mixed doubles curling national championship. They give a somber update on Matt's curling, but an exciting announcement that the full JM&M crew will be back together soon! The Yankees are ending their long-standing and archaic no facial hair policy and some other ridiculous rules for everyday office life. They ask today's Siding Unlimited poll question: What's the most antiquated dress office dress code: no facial hair, no uncovered tattoos, no shorts, or no open-toed shoes. First, Jim wants to know how often he should have to replace a car battery, and G reveals it's been TOO LONG since he's seen the dentist. They go archaic on criticizing the hall monitor Jesse Nelson's summer dress apparel in the ESPN Madison office! Who dresses more ridiculous: Jesse or teenage boys? Jason Wilde joins Jim and Alex G to discuss the most-antiquated office dress codes (AND some hard-hitting Packers offseason questions)! They get into news that the Yankees are ending their long-standing no facial hair policy, discussing some of the worst office dress codes, why Jason never had to deal with dress codes in his many years at the Wisconsin State Journal, and Barry Alvarez giving Jason guff for his earring look back in the day! Jason also gives his picks for the most likely cap casualty cuts for the Packers and a tease for Jason's big announcement about his future as a sports reporter!

Jim Rutledge and Alex Gravatt roll into the final half-hour of the show ahead of tonight's Bucks game versus the Wizards. They also hit on Wisconsin football hiring its new GM in (Dr.) Marcus Sedberry, John Tonje being named one of ESPN's most impact transfer in college basketball, and Tausch's HOT TAKE that this year's Badgers are a Final Four team!

  • 4PM: Packers in the NFC Race for Myles Garrett
Jim Rutledge and Alex Gravatt continue to hold it down while Matt Hamilton continues his mixed doubles curling exploits in Colorado! They react to the news that Bobby Portis has been suspended 25 games for an accidental violation of the NBA's drug policy, and Jim says "yeah no crap" to Shams Charania's most recent report about Giannis' status with the Bucks. They focus on the Packers with today's Siding Unlimited poll question, asking which NFC team that Packers fans would LEAST want to see Myles Garrett on: Commanders, Eagles, Lions or Bears. First, G and producer Primetime pick at one of Jim's biggest pet peeves, and Jim continues to hone in Primetime's full-zip "Mr. Rodgers" look. Mark Tauscher joins Jim and Alex to discuss the 4 NFC teams with better odds than the Packers to land Myles Garrett this offseason, and they discuss the possibility of the Packers adding a group of solid vets (like Khalil Mack) versus getting a true game-changer like Garrett. They also hit on Wisconsin football hiring its new GM in (Dr.) Marcus Sedberry, John Tonje being named one of ESPN's most impact transfer in college basketball, and Tausch's HOT TAKE that this year's Badgers are a Final Four team! Jim and G continue to discuss why Green Bay is falling behind if they allow Garrett to land elsewhere in the conference and how far away the Packers are from jumping into the same tier as the Eagles and Lions. They wrap up giving away some Miller High Life, and Jim leaves them with an ominous question: Is Giannis still on the Bucks by the time of next season's NBA trade deadline?

  • 5PM: Would Giannis Walk?
Jim Rutledge and Alex Gravatt continue their conversation from the end of Hour 1, discussing the recirculating rumors that Giannis could ask out from the Bucks if the team fails to make it back to the Finals or ECF. Why is Giannis so smart about how he signals his displeasure, and is there any world where it's worth it for the Bucks to blow it up by next year's NBA trade deadline. They play Molly's Game, picking sides in Molly Brown's lines & props for the USA vs Canada final in the 4 Nations Face-Off and the Bucks game against the Wizards and Khris Middleton tomorrow night.
