  • 4PM: Matt LaFleur Ass-istant Coach Hires
Jim Rutledge and Alex Gravatt hold down the show once again with Matt Hamilton still battling at the USA curling national championships in Duluth. Jim and G get into today's news that the Packers have found their new QB and DL coaches, promoting Sean Mannion and bringing in former Patriots DC DeMarcus Covington. How much do these position coach hires mean, and are we confident that either will be good given Matt LaFleur's spotty history with assistant coach hires? They ask their first Siding Unlimited poll question -- Who has been better at hiring assistant coaches: Matt LaFleur or Dan Campbell? Why does it feel like a landslide for Campbell, does being a "culture coach" like Campbell lead to better success with assistants, and who are the most energizing head coaches? Evan Cohen of Unsportsmanlike joins JM&M for his usual bi-weekly appearance. Jim and Alex G talk with Evan about today's first Siding Unlimited poll question, asking if Dan Campbell or Matt LaFleur has been better at hiring assistant coaches. They also discuss the best culture-setting HCs and how they compare to LaFleur. Are fans insane for saying that LaFleur is close to being on the hot seat, and what are Evan's 3-4 criteria points that LaFleur and the Packers must achieve to avoid being on the hot seat in 2025? Evan *controversially* asks for his own Siding Unlimited poll question, asking which member of the Packers' "big three" is the best at their job: Jordan Love, Matt LaFleur or Brian Gutekunst? They have Evan react to his pre-season prediction that the Bucks would win the Finals and Dame would win MVP this year, but first Alex G surprises us all with his bizarre stories of being getting Oreos from his local dry cleaners and going to brunch with his pastor while growing up in Plymouth, Wisconsin!

  • 5PM: Grading the Packers' Big Three
Jim Rutledge and Alex Gravatt continue fresh off their bi-weekly conversation with Evan Cohen of Unsportsmanlike, who threw out a controversial Siding Unlimited poll question -- Which member of the Packers' "big three" has been the best at their job: Jordan Love, Matt LaFleur or Brian Gutekunst. There seems to be a consensus that LaFleur has done the best overall, but Alex G disagrees on how to rank or grade Gutey versus Love. Throwing Stones includes some more controversy, as Alex G attempts to frame producer Primetime for stealing his caffeine drinks from the office fridge while Jim rails against those in the office who put their lunches in our small Coors Light fridge! Director of the upcoming "Green and Gold" movie, Anders Lindwall, joins Jim and Alex to talk about the film's nationwide premier this weekend. They get some background on the film, which is about a fourth-generation Wisconsin dairy farmer who bets on the Green Bay Packers to help him save his farm in the 1990s. Anders also goes into the personal story behind getting the film produced and shot, including his fear about being sued by the NFL for shooting outside Lambeau Field, working with legendary sports movie actor Craig T. Nelson, the real-life inspirations for the film, the important role that radio plays in the story, and getting Charlie Berens to play the movie's local sports radio host character! Jim and Alex G quickly wrap up the show with a dip into G's decision about whether to do a polar plunge with some friends tomorrow morning!

  • Mark Tauscher on JM&M
Mark Tauscher joins Jim, Matt, & Molly to discuss the topics of the day with Jim & G! • 4PM: Why Were the Packers Never a Dynasty?
Jim and G are here to take you home on this Wednesday evening and Jim is fired up wondering how the Packers never became a dynasty despite 30+ years of Hall of Fame QB play. What's the biggest reason for this? They also hone in on quarterback play and discuss if Jordan Love has the capability and mentality to lead a dynasty. The hour is wrapped up with a conversation surrounding the Packers defense and whether or not it was Super Bowl caliber. Unsurprisingly, Jim and G don't quite see eye to eye here.

  • 5PM: What Qualifies as Good Music?
Jim and G get the second hour started off hot with a riveting game of Minute To Win It! Let's just say Riley may have set the line a little too high... Jim proceeds to spend the entirety of segment two discussing his qualms with the music industry, specifically Morgan Wallen given that he will be doing two concerts at Camp Randall this summer. Which begs the question, how does one define "good" music? Tausch joins to restore some order to the show as he answers the days questions surrounding the Packers defense and dynastic tendencies or lack thereof. And that just about does it for Wednesday's show!

  • Jason Wilde on JM&M
Jason Wilde joins Jim Rutledge and Jon Arias live ahead of ESPN Madison's end-of-year celebration for UW Volleyball, and he explains why his daughter is incredibly jealous that she's not there at North and South Seafood and Smokehouse in Verona for tonight's event! Jason answers yesterday's poll question about whether Jordan Love or Matt LaFleur were the bigger reason for the Packers missing the Super Bowl this year, and Jason explains why it's much more complicated than Love or LaFleur and if Packers fans just have out-sized expectations for their quarterback. Yet, what does Love still need to improve heading into 2025, and why does LaFleur shoulder more responsibility for the team to take a step forward. They wrap up with today's Siding Unlimited poll question, asking if Brian Gutekunst can best be described as Outstanding, Above Average, or Middle of the Road as Packers GM!

  • 4PM: Jordan Love's Growth Potential
Jim Rutledge and Jon Arias host the show ahead of ESPN Madison's end-of-year Wisconsin Volleyball celebration from North and South Seafood and Smokehouse in Verona! They revisit yesterday's Siding Unlimited poll questions asking if Matt LaFleur or Jordan Love shoulder more blame for the Packers missing the Super Bowl, they discuss the article from Packers reporter Rob Demovsky about Brian Gutekunst's 3-5 year plan to win a Super Bowl with Love, and they get fans prepared for tonight's upcoming Q&A with Jon and Badgers volleyball head coach Kelly Sheffield, former player & legend Sarah Franklin, and others! First, they delve into Love and LaFleur, as Jon gives his opinion on what kept Green Bay from going to New Orleans and if Love still has room to improve or if Packers fans need to just be happy with what they have. They also have to revisit some of Jim's favorite Facebook comments stemming from his take yesterday that you're a "pathetic hater" if you're rooting against the Chiefs to three-peat as SB champs, and he re-makes the case that fans of any franchise shouldn't be lauding championships from before they were born! Jason Wilde joins Jim and Jon live ahead of ESPN Madison's end-of-year celebration for UW Volleyball, and he explains why his daughter is incredibly jealous that she's not there at North and South Seafood and Smokehouse in Verona for tonight's event! • 5PM: Matt Hamilton Defends Jordan Love + Badgers Volleyball Sit-Down with Jon Arias!
Jim Rutledge and Jon Arias continue the show ahead of ESPN Madison's end-of-year Wisconsin Volleyball celebration at North and South Seafood & Smokehouse in Verona! Matt Hamilton calls into his own show after getting another DUB at the USA Curling national championships up in Duluth! Matt talks with Jim and Jon about the Siding Unlimited poll questions from the last two days, asking if Jordan Love or Matt LaFleur are more to blame for the Packers missing the Super Bowl this season and the best word to describe Brian Gutekunst's tenure as Packers GM. Matt defends Love's bumpy end of the 2024 campaign and explains why Matt LaFleur needs to help his QB succeed! Jim and Jon carry on into Throwing Stones, debating whether the Tush Push is a real "football play" and if NFL needs to add rules to eliminate or modify the play. Jims bounces off to let Jon moderate a conversation with Badgers volleyball head coach Kelly Sheffield, former player and UW legend Sarah Franklin, and current players Charlie Fuerbringer and Mimi Colyer. They discuss the busy offseason, Sarah's first pro season playing for LOVB Madison Volleyball, how Mimi is settling in as a transfer from Oregon, and Charlie's growing role going from her freshman to sophomore seasons! Jim and Jon wrap up the show with some discussion about this offseason for Badgers volleyball and what fans can expect about seven months out from the 2025 regular season!

  • 4PM: Where Did Packers Fall Short of Chiefs & Eagles?
Jim Rutledge is joined by Alex Gravatt, who'll be in hosting the show Monday and Wednesday through Friday while Matt Hamilton is off curling at the national championships in Duluth! Jim and Alex give their biggest takeaways from the NFC and AFC Championship Games and their thoughts on the Chiefs and Eagles making it back to the Super Bowl. Alex G explains why he's heartbroken for Josh Allen and the Bills, and Jim proclaims that you're a "pathetic hater" if you're rooting against the Chiefs historic run as a non-Eagles or Bills fans! They ask their first Siding Unlimited poll question based off Jim's take and delve into what separates the Packers from the 6 NFL teams that have appeared in the Super Bowl over the last 6 years. Jim asks their second Siding Unlimited poll question -- Is Jordan Love or Matt LaFleur the bigger reason why the Packers didn't make the Super Bowl this year? They compare Love and LaFleur to some of their contemporaries in the NFC, including Goff, Purdy and Mayfield and Nick Sirianni! They wrap up discussing what separates Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs from the rest -- coaching staff, defense and the Michael Jordan of football!

  • 5PM: Packers Coaching Sins?
Jim Rutledge rolls solo for the second hour before Alex Gravatt re-joins the show on the other end of crosstalk with the Great Dane Huddle. Jim continues talking coaching flubs, taking a moment to laugh at new Jaguars head coach Liam Coen's cringy "Duvaaal" chant during his introductory press conference. Jim compares this to Ben Johnson's cringe-worthy (in the opinion of Packers fans) joke about Matt LaFleur, and he shares some of his new coaching hire red flags. Jim and producer Primetime grade the show's predictions during Don't Quote Me, reviewing where two members of the show came close where two others completely missed with their longshot predictions for the AFC and NFC Championship Games. Did we doubt the Chiefs offense too much and how did the refs perform compared to Matt Hamilton's expectations? Jim Rutledge wraps the show on Crosstalk with the Great Dane Huddle, chatting with Alex G and Tarek Saleh live ahead of their show. They discuss whether the Eagles' patented tush push is a "real football play" and if the NFL finally needs to review the controversial play.
