In this very first episode, I answer a very important question, “How can I get motivated to exercise?” I discuss motivation and whether it’s key to get started with exercise. I share 4 key strategies that will help you get started:
Start before you’re ready, schedule it in
It’s okay if it looks different
Ditch perfectionism, fear of failure, and fear of being a beginner
Take responsibility for your actions
I also draw a parallel between exercise and me starting my brand new podcast.

A note from your host, Surabhi Veitch:
I’m so excited to start my brand new podcast, Mom Strength. When I became a new mom, my world was so shook. I had no idea what I was in for. I didn’t know how to navigate my physical symptoms, or how to navigate movement in my new body. And this was on top of all the mental and emotional changes as a new mom! I felt like I’d lost my entire identity, and I know that I’m not alone. And this is why I started this podcast! To empower, educate and uplift moms so you know where to find support, and so you see you’re never alone in your postpartum or motherhood journey. We’ll be having real conversations about movement, mindset and motherhood. You can expect solo episodes from me sharing my expertise and experience, and I’m excited to interview guest experts on pelvic health, fitness, parenting, nutrition, mental health, diversity, and more. So please subscribe to my podcast, and tune in each Monday for a new episode!
