The fires in Los Angeles delayed the MOMocrats' first chat session of the year, but they're back this week with something to say about the firehose of MAGA nominees being vetted in the Senate. Other topics Aliza Worthington and Donna Schwartz Mills also touched upon include the power of grassroots organizing, changes at MSNBC, and the Israel-Hamas ceasefire that was announced just before recording began.

MOMocrats Karoli, Aliza Worthington, and Donna Schwartz Mills try to get into the holiday spirit on their final podcast of the year, but - as Karoli puts it: President Musk said we can’t have a continuing resolution to keep the government open and “he looked over at Vice President Trump and said, ‘you can’t have that either.’ And so now we’re going to hurtle into a government shutdown.”
Once again, the MOMocrats lament the decision of many Democratic leaders to act as if this is politics as usual, "Nobody cares how bipartisan you are."
People disengage because they need to live their lives. And there’s NO REASON to engage if Democrats are talking about how they are going to compromise. And then WE LOSE ENTHUSIASM.
We NEED a Democratic leader who will step up and be a real shadow President. It could be Kamala Harris. But if it turns out to be Gavin Newsom, Gretchen Whitmer, or another tough leader, that's OK. But we need it NOW.

“Where is Kamala? She lost the election and she fades back into Vice President land?” The MOMocrats are disappointed that at a time when we need our leaders to LEAD us through what will be a very dark time, we’re not seeing many who are answering the call.
The MOMocrats also present an array of alternate news and information resources to check out - especially if you’ve recently let go of some of your old stand-by legacy media

Chuck Schumer thinks the American people want the Dems to be bipartisan.
"No we effing don’t," say MOMocrats Karoli, Aliza Worthington, and Donna Schwartz Mills. Remember when Mitch McConnell vowed to make Barack Obama a one-term president? The minority GOP legislature set about to obstruct EVERYTHING. And then in 2010, they shellacked the Democrats. The MOMocrats want to see our Democratic leaders FIGHT. That's what we elected them to do. Part of the Demcast family of podcasts.

The MOMocrats are frustrated by Democratic Senators and Congresspeople who are signaling openness to 47's cabinet picks: STOP. "This is not a time for comity," say Karoli, Aliza Worthington, and Donna Schwartz Mills. What the 49.5% of the electorate who voted against the Republican would like to see is some fight from our elected officials - especially since the legacy media all seem to be hastening tyranny by obeying in advance. In the 2024 campaign's closing days, both candidates held rallies that were meant to remind Americans of past political events: Kamala Harris drew more than 75,000 people to the Ellipse, where she worked to erase the memory of January 6 with a vision for a caring America ... while Donald Trump held a hatefest in New York on the site of a 1939 Nazi rally. MOMocrats Karoli, Aliza Worthington, and Donna Schwartz Mills have one final discussion before the final votes are cast on November 5. Part of the Demcast family of podcasts.

Kamala Harris, Tim Walz, and their surrogates have had their pedal to the metal this week, as they criss-cross the country making the case to vote them in as the next President and Vice President of the United States. In the meantime, Donald Trump has been cancelling appearances (due to "exhaustion"), cos-playing McDonald's fry cook, and attacking his former Chief of Staff and retired four-star general John Kelly, who went public this week with the news that Trump is a Hitler-admiring fascist who has no business going anywhere near the Oval Office ever again. MOMocrats Karoli, Aliza Worthington, and Donna Schwartz Mills talk about the state of the campaign 12 days out from Election Day. Part of the Demcast family of podcasts.

We're in the election's home stretch, and the early vote is breaking records. The Harris campaign is blitzing through the media, Democratic enthusiasm is through the roof, and Donald Trump appears to be sundowning before our eyes. MOMocrats Karoli, Aliza Worthington, and Donna Schwartz Mills talk about where we are and why maybe it's time to stop paying attention to the polls and just keep on working to elect Democrats.
