Episode 56 is live today! And I get to sit down with 2 beautiful mana wahine, Olivia Turner of Niu Boutique and Kahealani Paogofie of e ho'omaluhia, and discuss being priced out of paradise (POOP).
I made a video a few months back talking about how we are not being priced out of paradise, we are simply giving up. From that video, I received some nice comments and some not so nice comments. I know this is a sensitive subject here on the island, but it is one that needs to be addressed from a different perspective.

Why do you need to know your superpower? Well, it's simple, if you know your superpower you won't be making the common mistakes most moms are making when starting their own business.

Most people think that being a Mompreneur means you need to be a part of the Mom Hustle. But that is the worst advice that could actually hurt you in the industry.
Everyone says you need to go through the Mom Hustle now and reap the benefits later, so it's easy to believe. But if that were true then everyone who did the Mom Hustle wouldn't be burnt out and broke.
Instead of being impactful you end up being helpful which makes you feel unsuccessful and then you stop trying and give up. In fact, if you keep holding onto the Mom Hustle belief you could actually resent your family, business, and worst of all, yourself.
In this episode, I talk to you about how you can actually be a mom who is thriving at being an entrepreneur without the exhaustion of the mom hustle.

In today's episode, I get to interview Ashley Strong of Home Intentionally.
When it comes to decluttering you always hear everyone saying, "everything needs a home." But what does that even mean?
Everyone is trying to Marie Kondo their home right now and you're still holding your pre-pregnancy bikini close to your heart trying to figure out if it still brings you joy.
Let's not forget the endless to-do lists we wake up to every day. And how exhausted we feel after doing ALL THE THINGS, only to slouch down on the couch after the kids have gone to bed to feel like you did NOTHING.
Am I right?
Ashley Strong was in the same mess. Working full-time and trying to figure out how to organize her home on the weekends. While trying to make time for her family on her days off. None of that was bringing her joy. Just pure exhaustion and not the mother, wife, and person she truly desired to be.
Ashley was also suffering from postpartum depression that brought even more anxiety and confusion into her life.
Listen to how Ashley figured out and worked through the decluttering things in her home and life. Here's a huge hint: It isn't about having a perfect and clean home. It's about comprising and learning to organize as a FAMILY and not just one person.
In the words of Ashley strong, "It takes a family to make a mess. It takes a family to clean the mess."
