In today's episode I get to interview 808 Business Moms' Academy member, Ashley Strong. Now Ashley has a very unique thing about her that sets her apart from our other Academy members. That one thing is that she does not live in Hawai'i.
She lives in WISCONSIN!!!
I remember when Ashley first signed up for the Academy after attending my webinar. I was shocked, puzzled, and worried. I was worried because I wasn't sure how I could help someone who was all the way in Wisconsin.
And as Ashley says in this podcast episode, she wanted to challenge me.
I love how Ashley is honest and open when she shares in our Academy. She is helping everyone in the Academy realize that even in our island home we can still have an impact on others in the world.
If you want to know what made someone from Wisconsin want to join the 808 Business Moms' Academy sign up for our Free Preview of the 808 Business Moms Academy.
Together we have built a community of makuahine ready to make a change and take back our island home.
I would like to invite you to join us Monday, May 20 for our 5 days of Mentoring Retreat: A Preview into the 808 Business Moms Academy.

I want you all to meet our current Academy student Kahealani Paogofie. You'll be hearing her side of the story soon. But today, I want to share her story in my words.
When Kahealani Paogofie first enrolled in the 808 Business Moms Academy, I didn't know how to get a hold of her. You see, when anyone first enrolls in our Academy, we contact them via email and give them the link to join our Facebook group.
For 1 whole week, I heard nothing from Kahealani. I wasn't sure what was going on. I didn't want someone who invested in us, to waste their money if they weren't going to participate. Side note: I will always gladly refund your money if you find that the Academy is not for you.
I finally reached out to a mutual friend who was able to text her and have her contact me.
After a week and a half, Kahealani was finally on board. Side note again: We are very committed to everyone who invests in us so we will find you. Lol.
On the very first day of mentoring, Kahealani had a fire lit in her. She established her business a few years back but didn't know how she was going to bring it to life. She didn't have the answers of the hows, whens, wheres, and who would help her.
One month after enrolling in the Academy, this happened for Kahealani.
Kahealani created a successful event at Niu Boutique (the cutest boutique on the island HANDS DOWN!) And best of all, at the end of the event... SHE GOT PAID!
Kahealani could not believe that in one month, she was able to take her business ideas and run with it. All she needed was the support that is offered in the 808 Business Moms Academy to get her there.
This is what has happened for Kahealani in 1 month:
She had 2 successful events and planning for her next event in 2 weeks. She's committed to leading a monthly event for the next 6 months at Niu Boutique. She is collaborating with a local retailer for the New Baby Expo after they discovered her work on the 808 Business Moms Instagram page. (Btw, do you follow us yet?) She is now booking private events, with one event in Makakilo in June and another event in Waimanalo in July. She started her first podcast with 3 episodes published so far.
Now let me share with you what else was going for Kahealani during this time:
She was doing what she 'needed' to do for her family She faced financial challenges She had to make tough decisions
Although the circumstances seemed to be working against her, Kahealani leaned in anyway. With the support of the 808 Business Moms Academy, she is creating a new future for herself and her family. And she has been blessed many times over.
If you are curious as to what kind of support we offer for Kahealani and our other Academy students we invite you to join us, Monday, May 20, to our 5 Days of Mentoring Retreat: A preview into our 808 Business Moms Academy.
In this retreat, you will be receiving a mini-mentoring session just like how it is ran in our Academy. We will offer you support through email, Zoom, and our Facebook 'ohana.

In today's episode, I have the pleasure of interviewing Stefanie Riedel of Absolutely Loved Photography. What makes this photography business unique is that it is a family affair. Stefanie along with her son and daughter help towards the success of Absolutely Loved Photography.
The biggest takeaway about this episode is how Stefanie speaks from a place of appreciation. You can hear in her voice how she is grateful for every moment in her life. Good or not so good. She is grateful.

It's been a while since I've slid all up in your ears. There have been a lot of changes that have been happening here at 808 Business Moms, but I'll save that for another eipsode. Today we celebrate you the Mother (HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO YOU!!!) and to us!!! Today is the 808 Business Moms podcast 1 year anniversary! I cannot believe it!!! One year!!!
What has happened in this 1 year. Well... SO. MANY. THINGS.
❤ I got to emcee a Lady Pasifika Event. ❤ I got to be a part of other podcasts.
❤ I had a speaker series event that made my heart so full.
❤ I have 2 mentoring groups. Ninja Squad and The Academy. LOVE THEM!!!
❤ And I met and interviewed so many AMAZING people along the way.
In today's episode, I take a walk down memory lane and share with you all the things that have been happening this past year.
The journey to get here 1 year later goes further than that.
It goes back to when I was 18 and I held my son in my arms for the first time.
It goes back to when I was trying every direct selling company to try and stay home with my babies.
It goes back to me racking up student loans trying to get a degree with the hope to build a better life for my children and I.
It goes back to me driving my car into a ditch and not even realizing how tragic it could have been because I wasn't sober.
This moment was brought on by a series of triumphs, failures, desperation, laughter, tears, and many many prayers for God to save me from myself. I needed to be saved because I once had a darkness in me that I couldn't figure out or control. I needed a lot of saving grace to help me find a way to escape.
Now here I am with all of you. Together we have built a community of makuahine ready to make a change and take back our island home.
I would like to invite you to join us Monday, May 20 for our 5 days of Mentoring Retreat: A Preview into the 808 Business Moms Academy.
I invite you to experience our community and feel the love and support I get to experience every day. This is an absolute free experience. If you were ever curious about just exactly what 808 Business Moms is all about. Now's your chance.

In this episode, Maria shares not only her triumphs but her struggles that helped her earn a free car from Tupperware. Yes, a FREE car!
