  • 45. My Interview on the Calming the Chaos Podcast with Sarah Young

    Hi all.
I had done a really great interview with a friend and fellow podcaster of mine, Sarah Young of the Calming the Chaos Podcast and Collective.  She is a mom of 2 beautiful boys.  She brings a wealth of resources and knowledge to bring moms like you and I together to be heard and understood.  I remember what is what like for me when I was first given the diagnosis of autism for my son.  My world was devastated. I was lost and confused and really didn't know what to do or who to talk to.  It's so wonderful to be able to go to communities like the Calming the Chaos Collective, to be able to feel supported and seen.  Hope you enjoy.

  • 41. Fun Things to Do while on a Budget.

Keeping these kiddos busy especially when we ourselves are so super busy.  It can also be expensive and frankly, overwhelming.  So I've come up with a few ways to have some fun that is inexpensive, and helpful for their growth and development.  I added some links to some of the toys I've bought for my son to keep him entertained, while at home and podcast episode I referenced. Enjoy!

  • 39. What are Some of the Early Signs of Autism?

1 in 36 children are diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder.  That is a huge jump, when compared to 20 years, when it was 1 in 200.  And even though we have come a long way with technology and being able to recognize the early signs or red flags for Autism, it's important as a parent to recognize some of these signs, that you may not even have heard of.  Hope this is helpful.

  • 37. Traveling with Kids on the Spectrum

In this episode, I talk about traveling with our kiddos.  Now, I'm no expert traveler and I haven't been on any long trips, but so far, I've been on road trips and short plane rides with my son.  As many mamas can relate, I always feel anxious and stressed out about traveling with my son.  Since he's on the spectrum, I always worry that the trip will be too much for him.  So I've gathered some ways that I prepare for traveling, that have worked so far.  Hope it helps.  Enjoy.

  • 36. Mid-Year Check In (Well almost)

This is for all my Mamas out there who need a little pep talk.  We're more than halfway through the year, but we are not done yet.  So if you think you are way behind on your goals, I'm here to tell you that you are probably a lot closer than you think.  So the best way to see that is by doing a check-in.  I used a very valuable checklist at the beginning of 2023 to set my goals for the year.  I can tell that I had checked off a lot more than I thought and I'm very happy with my progress.  Hope this episode brings you some home.  We're not done yet Mamas!
