We live in a culture that breeds discontentment. We're constantly exposed to the things we don't have and the world tells us that success and contentment only come from money. But money has nothing to do with contentment. We'll never feel satisfied by more, more, more. Discontentment is dangerous - being rich is a moving target. 1 Timothy 6 tells us that godliness is contentment with great gain and that the cure for discontentment is Christ. Christ is the true treasure that changes our hearts and cures our discontentment, transforming us as we learn to be more like Him.
