The podcast that everyone’s buzzing about is back for a deep penetrating dive into the plasma pool of Fly films. In this episode of Monsters Never Die! Matt (@TheRealMattC) and Jacob (@Jacob_DeNobel) cover 40 years of sequels and remakes to The Fly. Thrill as guinea pigs, cats, people, and of course flies, are transported through space with often horrifying consequences. Question how a film with absolutely no flies can be considered a part of this franchise. Scream with horror as you try to make it through The Fly II.
Be afraid. Be very afraid.
It’s WrestleMania weekend, and Monsters Never Die is diving through the ropes to tackle horror films starring professional wrestlers. But it’s going to take more than Jacob (@Jacob_DeNobel) and Matt (@TheRealMattC) to cover the highs and lows of wrestling-cinema, so they’ve tagged in some partners to help them survive the night. It’s a high-impact collision of superstars as they’re joined by Talk Film Society’s wrestling experts Marcelo (@MarceloJPico) and Marcus (@MarcusIrving317) of Marking the Marcs to talk Plan 9 From Outer Space, They Live, See No Evil and more. Snap into a Slim Jim and give it a listen!
Top of the mornin’ to ya, Monsters Never Die! fans. Jacob (@Jacob_DeNobel) and Matt (@TheRealMattC) have returned for Saint Patrick’s Day to take you on a journey to Space, to the Hood and back with everyone’s favorite tour guide The Leprechaun. Follow this franchise as it falls from theaters to DTV to the Syfy Channel, as your faithful hosts cover every single film in the Leprechaun franchise. Which slasher has the best journey to space? Could Leprechaun Origins actually be the worst film of all time? Mix yourself a quarantini, and take in a little luck of the Irish as we attempt to answer these questions.
Monsters Never Die, but do they love? Your sweethearts Jacob (@Jacob_DeNobel) and Matt (@TheRealMattC) try to answer this probing question in a special Valentine’s Day episode of everyone’s favorite spooky podcast. Snuggle up with a loved one and a box of chocolates (maggots optional) as Monsters Never Die covers four Valentine’s Day-themed slashers. Is Hospital Massacre a lost slasher masterpiece? Does Valentine live up to the standards of the post-Scream slasher wave? And how does My Bloody Valentine 3D live up to the high bar set by the original? All this and more is covered in this heartwarming and pounding episode.
‘Tis the season to be scary! Your spooky hosts Jacob (@Jacob_DeNobel) and Matt (@TheRealMattC) are back with part two of the Monsters Never Die Holiday Horror Special! In this edition they highlight some Christmas Slasher movies, some which may or may not feature a killer Santa Claus. In this episode they go caroling at the local orphanage with 1984’s Silent Night, Deadly Night as well as its first sequel and 2012 “remake”, the criminally underrated P2 from 2007, the possible masterpiece of Christmas Evil, the Home Alone-esque Dial Code Santa Claus, and of course the grandaddy of all Christmas slashers, and Bob Clark’s best film 1974’s Black Christmas. Oh and don’t worry, they also tackle the 2006 and 2019 remakes. So on the long drive home from your Christmas festivities, turn off the same old holiday music and spend some quality time with your favorite Talk Film Society horror podcast!

It’s all come to this, your hosts Matt (@TheRealMattC) and Jacob (@Jacob_deNobel) take a trip to the Black Lagoon for the final episode of the first season of Monsters Never Die. That’s right, this week we jump ahead to the 1950s when atomic horror and sci-fi was king and everyone fell in love with the Gill-Man! They tackle the original 1954 The Creature from the Black Lagoon, as well as its direct sequels Revenge of the Creature and The Creature Walks Among Us before diving into a few other Lagoon Lite adventures. We cover it “all,” from Humanoids of the Deep, to Demon of Paradise, and even Wes Craven’s Swamp Thing! The hosts also highlight a personal favorite of theirs, Guillermo del Toro’s Best Picture winning The Shape of Water and drown themselves in tears over just how beautiful it is. So until Monsters Never Die returns, stay scared and remember Spooky Season Never Ends!
Your spooky hosts Matt (@TheRealMattC) and Jacob (@Jacob_deNobel) head to the catacombs beneath the Paris Opera House to discuss the most lovelorn of the Universal Monsters, The Phantom of the Opera. From the silent Lon Chaney original to the Joel Schumacher helmed 2004 musical, your Angels of Music guide you through the storied history of this infamous character. Along the way they make a detour and tackle various other phantoms, whether they be of Paradises, Malls, or Auditoriums! Oh and it wouldn’t be a Spooky Season podcast without a little Robert England talk, so the spooky boys discuss the gore-filled 1989 adaptation as well. So grab your favorite costume for the Masquerade and give us a listen and stay spooky won’t you?
Your hosts Matt (@TheRealMattC) and Jacob (@Jacob_deNobel) are back with their hairiest episode yet as they discuss The Wolf Man! That’s right, this week they get down with the classic 1941 Lon Chaney Jr. original as well as its sequels which include a WWE style showdown with Frankenstein’s Monster! We even talk the ‘80s classics The Howling, An American Werewolf in London, and Stephen King’s Silver Bullet for some extra fun. And what Wolf Man episode would be complete without a look at Wolf starring real-life werewolf Jack Nicholson and the completely insane 2010 remake starring Benicio Del Toro and Anthony Hopkins? So this week, don’t only stay spooky, but stay hairy too!
