How many resurrections in the Bible were there? If you were around during our Made Alive sermon series earlier this year, you know the answer.

Today Darson and Avery sit down with Steve and ask him a series of questions about all the bible who were "made alive again" in scripture, including Jesus, who kicked death in the face and was made alive forever.

Join us as we kick off our new series that we are so excited about. In this next set of episodes we are going to tackle some of scriptures most misused verses.

Today, Tim does an incredible job of laying out how critical it is to undersatnd two things: 1) the context of scripture, 2) that scripture was not actually written to us (American Western Culture) but that it is absolutely for us.

Jeremiah 29:11 is probably one of the msot misused verses of all time. It is often used as a comfort for prosperity and is easily found on a coffee mug or the cutest little home decor sign. Spoiler Alert: Jeremiah isn't preaching about prosperity here. But, don't fret because there is a certain hope imbeded into it that we cannot escape when we consider it's full context.

In this episode Steve does an incredible job of giving us some of the more intricute details of the eldership at Rising Sun. We discuss of the elder board works, how elders are suggested and then selected and the roation of board responsibilities. All of which might seem boring on paper but is actually extremely facinating and comforting as RSCC members.

Steve also shares a little bit of his personal story and how through the heartache of losing his wife, God provided another partner in an unexpected way.

Today we had the pleasure of chatting with the King of Puns. If you know Mike, you know he thoroughly enjoys puns and loves bringing a laugh to you through his Facebook feed. Throughout this conversations we hear about Mike's convicting expereince at an Amway conference in Louisville (Thank you Jesus for Amway), his experience with letting all three of his boys go into the US Military and some heartbreak within Rising Sun History.

By the end of our conversation, you will no doubt leave feeling encouraged by Mike's life motto, 'You Be Fine' as he reminds us that we have a certain hope in Jesus Christ. He will not give up on us and the battle has already been won.

He beautifully shares about his extended experience with depression, thoughts of suicide and worthlessness. The Lord so graciously brought him out of complete darkness after Gary asked him to reveal himself to him and he found himself at Central Bible College looking for answers.
