This is a deeply inspiring exchange with 21 year-old Morgan Lawson who is in her senior year at Yale University. Already highly awakened and committed to social justice, especially in terms of racism and equal rights, I was left feeling extremely hopeful about our collective future. Morgan Ellie Lawson was born in Atlanta, Georgia on February 11, 1999 before growing up primarily in a small town (Cordele) in South Georgia. She graduated as Salutatorian and STAR student (highest SAT score) for Crisp County High School in 2017. After graduation, she started her undergraduate education at Yale University in New Haven, CT. She is currently going into her last semester of her senior year at Yale where she will graduate in May of 2021. Upon graduation, she will attend law school to eventually work in Civil Rights Law with a focus in race relations.
