There are some crimes where, despite all the evidence, we may never know a true motive. Or this motive will be argued back and forth for years leaving many unsatisfied with the results. On July 22nd 2016 a young boy committed a mass shooting that, to this day, many argue what the true motive could be. 

July 21st: Anthony Baekeland Released (1980)

The relationship between mother and son can be a special one. But, today’s story takes that mother/son bond and turns it completely on its head. On July 21st 1980 a young man was released from a hospital after he tried to end his relationship with his mother by stabbing her to death.

July 20th: Brenda Gerow Disappeared (1980)

One small thread can pull apart an entire case. On July 20th 1980 a young woman disappeared only to turn up as a Jane Doe shortly thereafter. A Jane Doe that remained unidentified for years until a chance interaction with a criminal pulled a thread that unlocked her identity and, more than likely, her killer.

July 19th: Lori Kay Soares Hacking Killed (2004)

A little white lie may seem harmless at first but, has the very real potential of snowballing into something much bigger and much more dangerous. On July 19th 2004 Lori Kay Soares Hacking went missing while on her daily jog and, when the dust settled on her tragic case, the finger would be pointed to a man hellbent on keeping his secret to himself.

July 18th: Alexis Flores Born (1975)

Sometimes, a good deed can have its consequences. On July 18th 1975 a man was born who would have a stranger take pity on him. A stranger who, unfortunately, placed him in the direct path of a young, innocent, little girl.

July 17th: Sebastian Shaw Kills (1992)
