Chapter 1: Louis Trahan is the president of a Toronto based company called Last Minute Training. And he is the founder of a new initiative called: PayWhatYouCan[dot]Training. He spoke to our Niki Reitmayer about how he came up with the idea to help people upgrade their skills for whatever price they’re willing to pay.

Chapter 2: Two additional poultry processing facilities have reported employees infected with COVID-19. There’s one case in each of the facilities which are in Port Coquitlam and Chilliwack, both remain open at this time.

Chapter 6: A 25-kilometre-long ice jam has caused major flooding and forced about 13,000 people from their homes in Fort McMurray’s downtown.

Chapter 1: What more do we know about the shooter’s movements last weekend?

Chapter 2: The federal wage subsidy is introducing serious problems.  Some employers use the 75% wage subsidy to keep employees on the payroll, even if they’re not working.

Chapter 3: This is a cool story we wanted to highlight, it’s about something called the All-In Challenge.  The All-In Challenge invites celebrities to offer once-in-a-lifetime prize-packages, often involving the celebrity, to those donating to specific COVID-19 relief efforts.

Chapter 4: A little bit of good news for Canadian hospitality workers who have been out of a job. The Canadian Hospitality Workers Relief Fund is providing $500 one-time grants to eligible hospitality workers on a first-come, first served basis. Local chef and entrepreneur Vikram Vij is a part of this fund.
