1) Learn from your mistakes without dwelling on them.
How you handle slip-ups is important. Confident people understand no one is perfect, and if you just screwed up, it's probably not the end of the world. Ask yourself: How important will this mistake seem in three or six months? If your mistake involves work, acknowledge your mess up and vow to do better next time.
2)Step out of the spotlight.
I know it seems counter intuitive but being in the spotlight all the time can take a toll on your life. Plus, sometimes people need to miss you for a bit to realise how much they need you in your life. When building a personal brand, you’ll realise that there is a downside to too much attention. It’s okay to step out of the spotlight every now and then to build yourself back up. absence makes the heart grow fonder.
Personal development is a life-long challenge; every day whether you know it or not you are learning something new. A personal brand that doesn’t grow is stagnant and will fade out easily, as trends change and new businesses appear you will need to make sure you too are advancing. So keep learning, be you, be confident, and be authentic
4) Branding Yourself Wrong!
Without the right research you can end up creating a personal brand that nobody wants to get behind. If your industry is old fashioned and you want to breathe life into it, make sure to research if this will be met with positivity. Go out into the industry and ask the hard questions first before diving into branding yourself the utterly wrong way.
5) long-term planning is essential
If you plan to provide how-to videos with your audience being beginners, do you want to advance these videos long term as your followers advance, or will you be happy to remain at the same level, always providing beginner tutorials? These things should be thought about in the early stages of your planning process so you can slowly move in the right direction.
6) Be seasonal with your content.
Whether it’s Easter, Christmas, or Halloween, add a temporary profile picture and banner image to your account to show off you’re excited about the upcoming occasion. It’s a great way to add some fun and personality to your account.
7) Connect your Facebook account to your Instagram account
This way you can advertise on Instagram, and edit your account details without having to open your app. You can also let Facebook automatically post your Instagram snaps on Facebook if you want to. This is a huge time saver.
