Moser, Lombardi and Kane

0:00 - It's a Game 6 Double Diparoo tonight. The Avs are fighting for their lives, and the Nugs have a chance to advance. The games are like 12 hours away, we're already nervous as can be. Some good nerves, some bad nerves. A healthy mix.

15:39 - What are the most pressing needs for both the Avalanche and Nuggets tonight?

33:35 - Jamal Murray is an enigma. He's tough to explain. Brett has a stat that adds to the confusion.

0:00 - Last night, the Nuggets didn't stick with one defensive look. They switched things up and kept the Clippers guessing.

15:30 - The Rockies already have the worst start to a season in the 149 years of the National League. A few more losses and they'll have the MLB record. At this point? Just go for it. Secure the record. Be the worst. Why not?

33:12 - If we end up with a Double Diparoo of Game 7s on Saturday, our hearts won't be able to handle it.

0:00 - Avalanche Head Coach Jared Bednar joined us ahead of his squad's do-or-die Game 6 vs Dallas tomorrow.

20:58 - That was the most fun Brett's had watching Nuggets basketball in a LONG time for one reason: Jokic didn't have to be a one-man show.

34:29 - Shaq (yes, that Shaq) has agreed to be the GM of Sacramento State's men's basketball program. He's joining Mike Bibby's coaching staff. As a proud Sac State grad/Hornet, Moser is flabbergasted. More than anything else, it's representative of the shifting collegiate sports landscape in the NIL era.

0:00 - Playoff Jamal is BACK, baby. Like he never left. He willed the Nuggets to a decisive Game 5 victory. That was the most fun we've had watching Nuggets hoops in a LONG time.

15:25 - When Jokic scores a gazillion points, the Nuggets lose. When Jokic has an "off" night, they win. The pattern continued last night. Only with Jokic would we say he had an "off" night when he recorded a triple double.

34:39 - The Pacers eliminated the Bucks in a thrilling last-second OT battle last night. After the game, Tyrese Haliburton's dad and Giannis got into it on the court. They ended up...mashing foreheads?

0:00 - What are the keys to tonight's Nuggets game? Also, the Avs have gotten a tough whistle during their series vs. Dallas ESPECIALLY last night. The Stars players are out here flopping around and selling calls left and right. It's not the reason the Avs lost last night. Let's be perfectly clear about that. It's just a bad look from Dallas. It's not very "hockey-like" behavior.

16:01 - Can the Nuggets flip that magical switch and play consistent defense? They played great D for 3 quarters in Game 4. Which version of their defense will we see tonight? Also, Buster Olney wrote a fantastic article about how difficult it is to pitch at Coors Field. It's been a nightmare for 30 years and counting.

35:21 - The NHL needs to send a message that flopping/embellishing/diving/whatever you wanna call it isn't okay. A fine? A suspension? Why would they have that rule if they don't enforce it?

0:00 - God forbid...what happens if the Avalanche don't make it past the first round? This ownership group showed us they're not afraid to make wholesale organizational changes (see the Nuggets about 1 month ago).

15:21 - Adam Schefter joined PHD yesterday and shared his perspective on both Shedeur's slide & the Broncos draft class. Next, Vic needs a lesson on gum etiquette at Nuggets practice.

32:19 - Vic went to Nuggets practice yesterday to grab soundbites. One of the players got a bit snippy with him. He quibbled a tad.

0:00 - The Dallas Stars scored a goal 9 seconds into the game last night, then it was no fun for 3 periods. No fun at all. The Avs find themselves in a 3-2 series deficit heading into Game 6. They need some of the big guns to step up. Where's Cale been?

15:28 - Is this the NBA? Is this European soccer? No? Then why are the Stars players flopping so much?

33:20 - Bill Simmons was at Nuggets @ Clippers Game 4 and witnessed Jokic's monster night. Afterwards, he went on his podcast and said it's one of the greatest performances he's ever seen in person.

0:00 - Vic gave us more info from his Broncos/NFL sources who explained why Shedeur Sanders fell so far in the draft. Also, a couple of Ole Miss students prank called Shedeur during the draft to make him think he'd been selected.

16:25 - Bills GM Brandon Beane had some choice words for a couple hosts on WGR 550 in Buffalo. Honestly, we wish more GMs were like this. Give us a call and let us know what you think about us, Paton and Payton! After that, the Jaguars wunderkind GM gives Moser the creeps.

34:09 - In Game 4 vs the Clippers, the Nuggets played the best 3 quarters of basketball we've seen in ages. They were stellar both defensively and offensively. Then it all came crashing down in the 4Q.

0:00 - On Sammy G's goal, Gabe Landeskog parked himself in front of the net and stood strong. He battled with Dallas' bruisers and held his own. Next, Vic spoke with some sources close to the Broncos and NFL Draft, and they explained why no one wanted to touch Shedeur Sanders.

15:53 - What was the craziest part of the sports weekend? Landy's goal? AG's buzzer beater dunk? Shedeur Sanders falling to the 5th round? Something else?

32:52 - Did the Nuggets Game 4 win change your mind at all? Has your faith and confidence in them been restored?

0:00 - Gabe Landeskog did the unthinkable. He returned to the ice and scored a goal in a playoff game! What an unbelievable comeback story. But for Brett, the goal wasn't even the most impressive part of Landy's night.

15:13 - The Nuggets hung on to beat the Clippers in Game 4. Aaron Gordon's last millisecond dunk is a playoff moment for the ages. But here's the thing. It shouldn't have come to that. All the Nuggets had to do was not blow a 20+ point lead. Thankfully we can nitpick after a win!

34:01 - The 2025 NFL Draft is in the books! How do we feel about the Broncos draft class?
