34:33 - Oh, by the way...Vic attended an event last night honoring the late Doug Moe. A bunch of Nuggets greats showed up and paid their respects to the legendary coach.
Oh, by the way...a golfer named Jeffrey Lannon just won a tournament in Vegas and took home a $30,000 prize. That tournament? The 2026 Golden Tee World Championship.
Oh, by the way...yesterday, DMac put Nelly on trail because of something that Brett, Vic, and Moser said on the show. Today, Nelly gave them the opporunity to defend their position once and for all. You happy now, DMac? Is that enough evidence?

0:00 - After ALL THAT, Brendan Sorsby won't play football for Texas Tech. He's entering the NFL supplemental draft. Sheesh. What a mess. Essentially, the entire college football world bullied Brendan Sorsby into stepping away from Texas Tech. Good.
After that, Marvin Mims has a new agent. The Broncos signed Jaylen Waddle back in March. Yesterday, the signed a speedster WR out of the UFL. What do we make of all this?

15:40 - Death, taxes, and the Rockies bullpen blowing it. Yesterday, they walked in the winning run. The more things change, the more they stay the same. Brett's pissed about it. He's super fired up this morning. So Vic asked: why do you waste any time getting emotionally invested in the Rockies? They're not going to sniff the playoffs. Why expend any brain power worrying about them?

32:05 - Minnesota sports teams are cursed. It's probably the most cursed sports in the country. There's a pattern of guys being traded away from Minnesota teams then winning a title elsewhere within 2 years. Yikes.

0:00 - Jalen Bruson took a $100 million dollar pay cut a few years ago so the Knicks had more money to sign good depth pieces. ONE HUNDRED MILLION DOLLARS. Well, his gamble paid off. His wallet's a little lighter, but he's forever a legend in New York City.

The Avs are essentially running it back with the same team, Bedsie included. Look at how long Carolina stuck with Rod Brind'Amour! But what about the Nuggets. If they literally can't afford to run it back, what should they do with the roster?

And these Europeans are having their eyes opened to the glorious world of things like Buc-ee's, Cracker Barrel, and Taco Bell. It's been so fun seeing all these tourists on social media documenting the gems they've found in America.

Look at Denver's rapid turnaround under the Law Firm of Payton & Paton. According to Vic, Sean Payton and Jared Bednar have very similar resumes. So, why are they both perceived/treated so differently?

16:38 - The NHL and NBA seasons are officially OVA. Congrats to the Canes and the Knicks. Now that everything is in the books, has your perception of the Denver teams changed? Are the Avalanche still the most likely team to win a title next? Or have the Broncos surpassed them?

28:23 - Oh, by the way...the Colorado Rockies dropped 23 runs on the Las Vegas Athletics of Sacramento via Oakland. Turns out, when you put major league teams in a minor league stadium, they score a lot. 
Oh, by the way...the Florida Gators are renovating their stadium, and it's going to cost as much, if not more, than building a new stadium from scrath. The math ain't mathin.
Oh, by the way...the Dallas Mavericks drafted both Luka Doncic and Jalen Brunson...IN THE SAME CLASS. What a generational fumble.

0:00 - What a busy sporting weekend! After 53 loooooooong years, the New York Knickerbockers are NBA Champions again. During the Finals, the Knicks reminded Brett of the 2023 Denver Nuggets. Both championship teams shared a similar quality.

14:46 - The Cup is coming back to Carolina! Congrats to the Canes for bringing home Lord Stanley. But more importantly, the Vegas Golden Knights DIDN'T win the Cup. Their magic ran out at the worst time. Their carriage turned back into a pumpkin. You love to see it.

32:40 - The USA Men kicked off the World Cup with a BANG! They blew the doors off Paraguay 4-1 in their first World Cup match. That's about as complete of a game as we've ever seen them play.

0:00 - Jonathon Cooper's been arrested twice in a week or so. Sean Payton, George Paton, and the Walton-Penner group have a big decision to make. This is the first serious off-the-field issue they've had to deal with. Will they hang onto Cooper and wait for due process of the law? Or should they cut him immediately and avoid a potential headache completely?

14:18 - Joe Sakic and Josh Kroenke finally held the Avs end of the season press conference yesterday. Right off the bat, they made one thing clear: Jared Bednar is the head coach because the locker room loves him. It doesn't matter what any of us jackwagons behind a microphone think. The players want him. That's why he's still here.

Oh, by the way...Karl-Anthony Towns was playing chess on the final play of Game 4 of the NBA Finals. Everyone else was playing checkers. Oh, by the way...a top outfield prospect for the Dodgers hurt his knee because he had to dodge (no pun intended) the bat dog.

14:57 - Sometimes, for the sake of standings/postseason seeding, you have to root for a team that isn't yours. BUT, if that team wins, it benefits YOUR team. It's such a weird rollercoaster of emotion. It's also a blast.
After that, we still can't believe what we witnessed at Madison Square Garden last night. The New York Knickerbockers casually pulled off the biggest comeback in NBA Finals history with a gazillion celebrities in attendance. 

32:34 - Yesterday, Altitude TV announced that they're not renewing the contracts of Chris Marlowe, Scott Hastings, and Chris Dempsey. None of them will be involved with the Nuggets TV broadcast next season. Hastings will continue to co-host PHD, and he'll occasionally join Koz in the radio booth during Nuggets broadcasts on our airwaves. That's the business of sports, both on the field and off the field. People get fired. Teams make changes. It sucks. It's tough and it's inevitable. If you're looking to enter the world of sports broadcasting, understand that everyone has been fired or will be fired.
