Moser, Lombardi and Kane episodes

  • 6-11-26 Hour 1 - Best comeback in NBA Finals history/The harsh business of sports/World Cup trivia
0:00 - That was the GREATEST comeback in NBA history. Period. The NY Knickerbockers battled back from a 29-POINT DEFICIT and beat the Spurs to take a 3-1 series lead. Unbelievable. Thanks for playing, Spurs. This series is OVA.

16:05 - Yesterday, Altitude TV announced that they're not renewing the contracts of Chris Marlowe, Scott Hastings, and Chris Dempsey. None of them will be involved with the Nuggets TV broadcast next season. Hastings will continue to co-host PHD, and he'll occasionally join Koz in the radio booth during Nuggets broadcasts on our airwaves. Sports is an unforgiving, brutal, harsh business. Everyone will be fired at some point. It's not a matter of if. It's a matter of when. No one is safe.

34:36 - The World Cup begins TAHNIGHT (say it in your best Berto voice). Vic claims to be the soccer/World Cup expert of the show. Let's spring some impromptu World Cup trivia on him and see how he does.

  • 6-10-26 Hour 3 - Officially done with the Knicks/A soft NBA discourse/Anti-Cigar rhetoric
0:00 - Brett was trying to find it in his heart to root for the Knickerbockers! He truly was. And he was starting to get there! They have a lot of likeable dudes on the roster. But their fanbase officially ruined it for us. Those jackwagons can't experience any more happiness. We hope San Antonio rattles off 3 straight, starting tonight. SPURS COUNTRY. LET'S JANGLE.

14:30 - There's an NBA discussion happening right now amongst all the talking heads. And, let's be real...the discussion is SOFT. It's so soft. We can't handle a little physicality on the court during the NBA FINALS?

32:58 - A high school lacrosse team in Massachusetts was forced to forfeit a state tournament semi-final game. Why? Because the seniors on the team enjoyed some victory cigars at their graduation ceremony. According to Vic, this is just the tip of the iceberg. Anti-cigar rhetoric runs rampant in this country.

  • 6-10-26 Hour 2 - The Mystery of Brett Howden/Avoid locker room cancers/Oh, By the Way...
0:00 - The Vegas Golden Knights weren't even supposed to make the playoffs, and here they are 2 wins away from bringing Lord Stanley back to the desert. They're the definition of an enigma. In particular, what's gotten into Brett Howden?? He's played the best hockey of his ENTIRE CAREER during this postseason run!

13:28 -   Brandon Aiyuk recently went on IG Live and blasted the 49ers for how they handled his injury/contract situation. And we're SO thankful we don't have an Aiyuk/AJ Brown/Antonio Brown/Diva/locker room cancer on the Broncos roster. Everyone is bought in. All for one, one for all.

32:01 - Oh, by the way...FIFA is letting fans buy a message that will appear on the jumbotron during World Cup games. It's yours for the low low price of $79!
Oh, by the way...Brendan Sorsby will appear in court to hash things out with the NCAA...in early February! After the college football season is over. Well, isn't that convenient?
Oh, by the way...LIV Golf is on life support at this point, and the league probably won't survive through the end of the season. The experiment is all but over.

  • 6-10-26 Hour 1 - Canes even the series/Done with Knicks fans, Schaeffer on visiting fans/Sports corruption
0:00 - The Canes beat the Golden Knights last night and evened up the Stanley Cup Final. Thank you, Carolina! This series continues to be a blast. But it has Brett thinking...what do those teams have that the Avs don't?

18:01 - We're officially DONE with Knicks fans. Brett was flip-flopping on whether or not he could root for the Knicks and their loudmouth fans, but now it's over. Get bent, Knicks fans. Bing Bong. Go Spurs.
Yesterday, Warren Schaeffer was asked about all the visiting fans who invade Coors Field every night. And believe it or not, Vic actually disagreed with something he said.

35:15 - In honor of FIFA, what are some of the most corrupt organizations in the sports world?

  • 6-09-26 Hour 3 - Sam Presti playing dumb/CFB House of Cards could collapse/Jake Coyne's Nuggets guide
0:00 - OKC Thunder GM Sam Presti addressed the media yesterday and just...where do we even begin? He spewed so much misinformation in like a 30 seconds soundbite. It's hard to fathom. But his end of the season presser confirms one thing: OKC's flopping and foulbaiting and playing the victim culture comes from the top. The VERY top. Always has, always will.

13:14 - The CFP's whole house of card is teetering precariously. If Brendan Sorsby can place 9,000 sports bets, including betting on his own team, transfer schools, be granted another year of eligibility, and all he has to do is serve a 2 game suspension...then what's the point of having rules? The rules are good as garbage at this point.
But also, everyone else needs to chill. Bama, Florida, Georgia, all these SEC stalwarts...you can't cry about the sanctity of college football when you spent DECADES tarnishing it with shady backdoor practices.

32:24 - Friend of the program and certified nerd Jake Coyne recently released his ultimate Nuggets bible/manifesto/offseason guide. It's 70 pages! Brett and Moser didn't read it, obviously. Too many word. But Vic looked through it, and as always, it was overflowing with valuable insight.

  • 6-09-26 Hour 2 - Implications of the Sorsby situation/Praise for Jaylen Waddle/Oh, By the Way...
0:00 - As reported by Ari Meirov yesterday, Texas Tech QB Brendan Sorsby "admitted to wagering at least $90,000 across more than 9,000 bets during his college career, including bets involving Indiana football while he was a member of the Hoosiers in 2022." A judge ruled he has to serve a 2-game suspension, then he can play college football for the rest of the 2026 season. That's insane.
Already, multiple teams around the Big 12 are saying they'll refuse to play Texas Tech if the ruling stands. The Big 12 commissioner has a sticky situation on his hands. This is going to get worse before it gets better.

15:09 - Sean Payton loves him some Jaylen Waddle. Jaleel McLaughlin loves him some Jaylen Waddle. Garret Bolles loves him some Jaylen Waddle! After the first round of OTAs, there's high praise for, you guessed it...Jaylen Waddle.

34:48 - Oh, by the way...World Cup players have arrived in the states, and they can't handle the heat. Literally. 80 degrees is apocalyptic in England. Get ready to learn 98 degrees with 90% humidity in Florida, buddy.
Oh, by the way...did anyone watch the Pat McAfee simulcast of the NBA Finals last night?
Oh, by the way...the Nashville Predators are evaluating players at the NHL Combine by making them stack golf balls. Huh?

  • 6-09-26 Hour 1 - Enough with MSG's Celebrity Row/Sam Presti is a whiny loser/Presti is also a whiny lair
0:00 - The Spurs won Game 3 last night, and NOW, we've got ourselves a series. Sorry, NYC. Wemby spoiled your party at the Garden. Can we stop with the whole NYC Celebrity Row fanfare and glazing? ESPN is acting like the Knicks are the first NBA Franchise to have fans. And by the way Timothee Chalamet and Spike Lee, you're not on the team! Quit acting like it! Jeez. Just WATCH the GAME.

16:27 - Sam Presti is a brilliant GM. Don't get it twisted. Look at how he's turned around the Thunder. He built a championship juggernaut with a back-to-back MVP on the roster. But he's also a WHINY LOSER. He addressed the media yesterday, and we genuinely can't believe some of the words he actually spoke into a microphone.

37:07 - Not only did Sam Presti cry about SGA getting criticized on social media, he also played dumb about OKC getting the benefit of the whistle. So he's a whiny dork and also a liar. What a combo! This GUY. Guess what? You just earned the TOP SPOT ON THE LIST. Yes, THE list.

  • 6-08-26 Hour 3 - Chicago fumbled the Bears big time/New-look KAT in NYC/Larkin's shortlist, Waddle's speed
0:00 - The deal's not done, but the Chicago Bears are most likely headed to Hammond, Indiana. Who cares if it's just up the road from Chicago? It's a different state! Chicago screwed this up, and Illinois screwed it up. Ya done goofed. It makes Vic appreciate Denver's sports scene a little more. All 4 of our major sports teams play in the same part of the same city. That's pretty cool.

17:09 - Karl-Anthony Towns has completely revived his career in NYC. The Knicks version of KAT is way better than the Timberwolves version of KAT. What did the Knickerbockers do to get the most out of him?

32:42 - Dylan Larkin has supposedly narrowed down his list of preferred destinations, and it doesn't include the Colorado Avalanche. Should the Avs still pursue him? Do they need his services?
Also, early reports out of Broncos camp - everyone's raving about Jaylen Waddle. He's impressing both Sean Payton and his teammates. Brett thinks it comes down to one thing: SPEED. Waddle is fast. When was the last time the Broncos has a pure speedster catching the football?

  • 6-08-26 Hour 2 - Knicks tix are through the ROOF/Brendan Sorsby eligible to play in 2026/Oh, By the Way...
0:00 - If you want to attend Game 3 of the NBA Finals at Madison Square Garden, you'd better sell your house and your car. You JUST might have enough, if you're lucky. What's the most you've ever spent on a sporting event/concert in your life?

13:43 - Texas Tech QB Brendan Sorsby is now eligible to play college football in 2026 after being granted an injunction by...a judge in Lubbock, Texas. According to Ari Meirov, Sorsby, '"admitted to wagering at least $90,000 across more than 9,000 bets during his college career, including bets involving Indiana football while he was a member of the Hoosiers in 2022." Now, he'll serve a 2 game suspension then be back on the field. That's insane, right!? This will set a horrible precedent if it stands.

31:06 - Oh, by the way...Cleveland Guardians radio PxP voice Tom Hamilton took a hilarious swipe at Jazz Chisholm during a broadcast. What's a "good" batting average these days? Is .300 still the gold standard?
Oh, by the way...Jacob "The Miz" Misiorowski was throwing FIRE for the Brew Crew at Coors Field this weekend. He threw the fastest pitch ever recorded by a starting pitcher in MLB history. What are you supposed to do with that, man!
Oh, by the way...how much would you pay to own a folding chair that Taylor Swift sat in courtside at Game 3 of the NBA Eastern Conference Finals?

  • 6-08-26 Hour 1 - Knights & Knicks have the "It" factor/Jonathan Cooper arrested/Our boy Zlatan is back at it
0:00 - What do the Vegas Golden Knights & New York Knicks have in common? They both have that "Team of Destiny" feel to them. When their backs are against the wall, they stand tallest. They win against all odds. When the going gets tough, the tough get going. Both Finals have been pure cinema so far.

15:48 - Jonathan Cooper was arrested last Friday on domestic violence charges. According to the police affidavit, he did something we've never heard of before. He...bit a cell phone?
Of course, the Broncos will wait for all the details to emerge before they make a decision. But if everything is true and they cut him loose...would that pave the way for a Von Miller return?
Also, it's been a while since the Broncos had a case like this. They used to have off-field issues consistently. Is this the first arrest under the new Walton-Penner ownership group?

34:34 - Long-time listeners of our show know how much we love our boy Zlatan Ibrahimović. In his playing days, he was a complete headcase in the best way. We've missed seeing him on the soccer pitch. With the World Cup coming up, he sat down for an interview with Tom Brady on Fox. He said something interesting about US sports fans, but Brett thinks it's a bit misplaced.
