0:00 - Last night was a mixed bag, to put it lightly. Let's start with the good. Way to go AVS! The Colorado Wagon ROLLED over the Kings last night, and they're up 3-0 in the series. This thing is over. Just take care of business, complete the sweep, then rest up for the next round.

16:04 - That was a pathetic effort from the Nuggets last night. Your opponent called you SOFT and NAMED NAMES! And you rolled over and died. You couldn't answer the bell. So much for "bulletin board material." That was embarrassing. We can't make heads or tails of this loss. We're flabbergasted. Do you want to win or not? 

33:29 - How will the Nuggets find motivation to WIN in this damn series if they haven't already? What more do you need?? Does it come from the coach? The players themselves? How do they refocus and start doing things the right way?

In honor of the draft kicking off tonight, let's break down some of his rankings. And AGAIN, it's important to note - these aren't where he thinks the players will be drafted. This ranking is based purely on skill and talent (for example, Fernando Mendoza is #7 on Leggy's list, but he's obviously going to go #1 overall to the Raiders).

0:00 - Jaden McDaniels called out the Nuggets and their lack of defense. He named names! It's still hard to believe he did that. The Nuggets HAVE to answer the bell tonight. If they lose tonight, that's a wrap on the series. Prove your mental toughness. Take care of business.
After that, the Rockies won last night! They're up to 10 wins already! Let's give Brett a couple minutes for some Rox positivity.

14:51 - Vic is having trouble focusing on the Avs vs Kings series. Because in his mind, it's already over. There's no way LA wins this series. Plus, we're so caught up in the Nuggets vs Timberwolves series. What happens if Denver loses tonight? What happens if they, god forbid, lose this series? Where do we go from there? 

32:26 - Oh, by the way...A Mariners pitcher caught a line drive inside his jersey. And the batter was awarded a base hit. I'm sorry, I thought this was America! That should be a hit. Oh, by the way...get ready to buy a 2nd or 3rd TV in order to watch all the different playoff games across various streaming apps. Oh, by the way...the Cleveland Cavaliers have introduced the most unhinged form of in-arena entertainment we've seen in a long time.

0:00 - Yesterday at shootaround, all the Nuggets were asked about Jaden McDaniels' fiery postgame comments about their defense (or the lack thereof). David Adelman had the only response that we liked. Everyone else was a bit too laissez faire for Brett's taste. The Nuggets should be fired up right now. It should be fuel. It should be bulletin board material. It should rally them to win. If it isn't...get ready for Cancun.

14:28 - The Colorado Wagon has rolled to a 2-0 series lead over the LA Kings, but there's still room for improvement. Jared Bednar said as much on our show yesterday. 
After that, believe it or not, there's an NFL Draft tonight! Let's go back to Aqib Talib's comment that the Broncos might make a move on draft night. If that's the case, how would it shake out? It probably would happen tomorrow night, right? Which position will they target? It's gotta be a tight end, right?

33:13 - The Phoenix Suns lost to OKC last night, and they're down 0-2 in the series. After the game, Devin Booker was incensed with the poor officiating that (stop me if you've heard this before) favored OKC. He even name checked a specific ref who was particularly bad. Which are you more sick of: OKC always getting a favorable whistle, or people complaining about OKC getting a favorable whistle?

0:00 - Long time no talk! Jared Bednar joined the show again this morning. How's Bedsie feeling after last night's win? Will he continue to roll with the red-hot Wedgewood in net, or will he start to rotate goalies? How did he pass the time during the 20-minute glass break delay?

19:17 - No Fly Zone alum and Champion of Super Bowl 50 T.J. Ward joined the show today! He's headed to Pittsburgh to announce the Broncos 2nd round draft pick on Friday. Does he have any Broncos/draft scoops like his former teammate Aqib Talib? What does he think of this current iteration of the Broncos that features another iron-clad defense, much like the one he was a part of?

37:50 - Yesterday was bonkers, across the board. Both the NBA and NHL playoffs were pure cinema. What was the most shocking part of it all?

0:00 - The LA Kings have played the Avs super physical in Games 1 and 2. They lay huge hits. They dust it up after the whistle. They throw dudes in front of the net and see what happens. And even though they're down 0-2, it's working! They're slowing down the high-flying Avs. Will other teams be able to copy that formula deeper into the playoffs? 

13:11 - At any point last night, did your confidence in the Avs waver? Did you think the hockey gods/puck luck might bounce against you?
Also, there's never a good time for the rinkside glass to shatter. But man, the Avs had all the momentum when some fans SHATTERED a pane of glass all over the LA Kings bench. That 20(ish) min stoppage to replace the glass and clean everything up really killed Colorado's mounting momentum. 

30:32 - Oh, by the way...Mike Vrabel finally addressed the Russini scandal yesterday, but he didn't really say anything at all. Shocker. Oh, by the way...even in their losses, the Colorado Rockies are still making incremental progress. The arrow is continually, yet gradually, shifting upwards, and that's all you can ask for at this point. Oh, by the way...an NFL draft pick has an opporunity to win a lifetime supply of Heinz Ketchup on Friday.

0:00 - Remember Stefon from SNL? Bill Hader's Weekend Update character? Well, last night's Avs game had everything: fights, weird penalties, broken glass, crazy saves, bad officiating, you name it. Whatever you wanted, you got it. In the end, the Avs won Game 2 to take a 2-0 series lead over LA. That's all that matters.

15:31 - Boy, Scott Wedgewood is playing his BUTT off. He's a brick wall in net. Should Bednar still consider rotating goalies? Or ride the hot hand?
Also, some rambunction Avs fans shattered and I mean SHATTERED the glass behind the LA Kings bench last night. It took the Ball Arena crew about 20 minutes to clean up the glass and put in a new pane. Crazy stuff. We've seen a puck shatter the glass. We've seen players collide against the glass and shatter it. But fans? That's gotta be a new one.

32:11 - As crazy as the NHL playoffs have been, how about the NBA playoffs? The injured Lakers won AGAIN and took a 2-0 series lead over the Rockets! Wemby fell hard and slammed his head into the court. He's obviously concussed. How long will he have to recover before rejoining the Spurs?

0:00 - Anytime the Nuggets are having success, they blow it. They have to be down 25 on the 2nd night of a road back-to-back with all of their starters hurt for them to play hard and seal a win. What will it take for this team to establish a lead AND HOLD ONTO IT??

12:25 - Vic mentioned that he saw a man walking around Ball Arena in an impeccable suit on Sunday. That man in none other than Daryl Evans, LA Kings radio color commentator. He also scored one of the most iconic goals in LA Kings history in the "Miracle on Manchester" game. Daryl hopped on the show to give us the LA perspective on this series...and his elite wardrobe.

31:39 - After Nuggets-TWolves Game 2 last night, Jaden McDaniels said a bunch of Nuggets players can't play defense. And he named names! That's CRAZY. The series isn't over yet! It's tied 1-1. That's the type of stuff you usually say when the series is over. If you're the Nuggets, use that as fuel. He says you can't play defense, huh? Prove him wrong on Thursday.

0:00 - Avs vs Kings Game 2 tonight! Should Coach Bednar roll with Scott Wedgewood in net again? Or should he switch it up and use Blackwood? 

16:10 - The Nuggets had a 19-point lead last night. Like 6 minutes later, Minnesota had the lead. That's an unbelievable collapse. What happened?? Vic said is all comes down to defense, or the lack thereof. That's how games are won and lost for the Nuggets. It's not about outscoring your opponent. Quite the opposite.

33:36 - Oh, by the way...the Rockies had a double-play taken off the board because of a balk? Huh? Oh, by the way...Virginia Tech decided to have parachutists drop into their football stadium before the Spring Game. One of flew DIRECTLY into the scoreboard. Oh, by the way...the Ottawa Senators are now down 0-2 in their series vs the Canes. Could it be because of a questionable hype song from some dorky Sens fans?

0:00 - The Nuggets had a double-digit lead over the Timberwolves. At home. In Ball Arena! And they blew it and lost Game 2. Boy, this is all too familiar. I feel like I've seen this movie before. What happened, man? How did it all unravel?

14:02 - After Minnesota's big win last night, Jaden McDaniels name checked a bunch of bad defenders on the Nuggets. By name! He specifically called the out and said they can't play defense. That's a WILD choice to make after Game 2 of a 7 game series, which is tied 1-1. Good news is the Nuggets have some fuel now. 

30:35 - NBC completely bungled the Nuggets broadcast last night. They were late to the game! By the time they switched over from the Hawks/Knicks game, it was already 5-5 with a couple minutes gone. At no point did they say that Nuggets-Timberwolves was underway and available on a different channel or whatever. Absolute malpractice to make us sit through a postgame interview and a 3 minute commercial break instead of switching to Nuggets-Wolves.
