Lost in Space

I have no idea who this author is however, as a long-time member of the LDS faith I have come acrossed others like him who have somehow had their thinking so convoluted and confused that they have totally lost touch with the pure, plain and precious simple truths of the restored Gospel. Much of what this author brings forth is pure conjecture on his part and clearly wrong to anyone who has studied the scriptures and listened to the general authorities.

We are promised that the prophet (whoever he may be) will NOT fail yet, this author sets for his opinion that he will.

Many of the prophecies he eludes to as "still to come" have either happened or have been clearly explained by church leaders who are called of God to counsel and lead us. And their explanations conflict with the author's suppositions.

The author lists is credentials as if he is some sort of doctrinal expert yet, hps credentials are very common amongst many Latter-day Saints. Graduate of a 2 year college (Ricks), attended early morning seminary and served a 2 year mission in NY. These credntials do not prove any expertise in the fields for which he is writing.

Please don't waste your time with this individual's stories and conjecture. They border on false teachings and apostacy.

Writing from the Heart

D. Joan Wheeler's "From Beyond the Veil" is a deeply personal account of her spiritual grieving for and final acceptance of the death of her first husband -- and my friend -- Tom Irvin. The book tells of their first meeting, eventual courtship and marriage, his untimely death from cancer and of how she came to realize that -- some thirty years after his death -- she needed to grieve for him, profess her undying love for him and accept the fact of his death. It is also account of her belief that his spirit came to her and is with her still, and of her religious convictions. It is an excellent example of a psychological and religious journey to spiritual peace of mind.

Joan has written with deep passion, a wonderful story outlining her long struggle to deal with and accept the loss of her first husband. This book is a praiseworthy and commendable tribute to my classmate and fellow athletic competitor.

This is an excellent book! It's written for youth, but I really enjoy it and so does my mother. It has beautiful Biblical lessons in the story and also makes you think about angels. I really have enjoyed all of her books.
