Publisher's Summary:
Throughout history, the war between good and evil has influenced humanity. Originally created in the image of the good father, mankind fell to sin because of the influence of the bad father of lies, Satan. Now as humanity approaches the second coming of Jesus Christ and the end of this war between good and evil, you must now make a decision either to follow the good father to eternal life, or the way of the bad father that leads to death.
This book helps explain the very important history covered in the biblical prophecies that will aid in making the very important decision to follow God. In choosing to follow God, you will strengthen your faith in Jesus Christ, through whom all people, no matter their prior life history, can be saved and gain eternal life.

Too Many Assumptions
Good Father, Bad Father
Disclaimer: I was given a digital copy of this book in case I choose to review it.
This book attempts well researched and historically relevant information. It seems that the main goal of this book is to track prophecy through the events leading up to today. It takes you through the Bible chronologically, adding history (and church history) in order to give you context for the different cultural and historical situations. Just to be clear, the author asserts that the Roman Catholic Church is what the Daniel prophecies regard to as the âlittle horn.â He also asserts that America is the second beast mentioned in Revlation 13. If you do not share these assertions, you will not enjoy this book.
I have to say though, that I am left confused as to whom this book is written for. It seems to target those that donât believe in God by constantly speaking that people need to choose to follow Him, and giving biblical reasons for that. On the other hand, the issues that are dealt with are theologically complex and would be difficult for someone new to the Christian faith to understand. One of the main topics is eschatology (study of the âend timesâ).
I understand that if you are a Christian, it is important to know that many of our cultural traditions have pagan roots, but in many ways the descriptions of these traditions read like a âWhat Not To Do,â manual. There isnât any mention of Godâs grace, but instead constant reminders like this one about Christmas trees, âThe modern-day Christmas tree is the practice in which God strongly condemns Christians to practice.â
One theme throughout the book is that we must keep the ten commandments. I agree that we should, but there doesnât seem to be any room for times of growth, or grace for mistakes. Here is one example from Chapter 11: âTo seek and obtain the eternal life, you must base your actions, thoughts, and life on the biblical principles of God and His Ten Commandments.â I find this statement and attitude troubling.
Overall, I cannot recommend this book to Christians, or anyone else. The main problem for me is that the author mixes the truth of the gospel with his own interpretation of prophecy without distinguishing between opinion and fact.
