#MotivationalMonday: Have A Sense of Urgency

I’ve been a teacher for seven years but haven’t had a regular year since my 2nd one. I changed homerooms my 3rd year, dealt with Covid-19 in year four, taught only at the end of year five, and then split duties last year.

Due to that, I have a sense of urgency. If you do three things, you can, too.

1. Begin With The End In Mind.

2. Realize that tomorrow isn’t promised

3. Model that urgency to students. If you’re urgent, they will be.

Pick up the speed and your students will grow.

Challenge for the week: Set an end of year goal for one or all your students.
