As for David Palmer, this is his second high-profile film this year. He also co-directed the critically acclaimed indie comedy, "Hit & Run," starring Kristin Bell, Bradley Cooper and Dax Shepherd.

From 2012: the most enduring name in magic is probably the one that few of us has ever actually accessed in person: The Magic Castle in Hollywood. Milt Larsen founded the private club for magicians some 50 years ago and it is still thriving today as a place you might run into magicians or magic fans, such as Steve Martin and Neil Patrick Harris. Just this week, word leaked out that a major motion picture about the Magic Castle will be directed by McG.

From 2012: When it comes to Playboy, I’ve had a relationship with the magazine and its editorial features since I was 13. This show has also hosted its share of Playboy editors and Playmates over the years, so it should be no surprise that I invited Miss November 2012, Britany Nola, to drop by and chat today. Britany – whose high school graduating class voted her “Most Likely to Be Famous” – is a Canadian by birth, a huge music fan and even has something in common with Barack Obama. Hmmm….

She has worked for Marvel, DC, Archie and Disney Comics over the years and is the author of You Can Do a Graphic Novel. She is also profiled in the book, A Century of Women Cartoonists. This is her second appearance on Mr. Media.

From 2012: In addition to being the co-founder and editor of the Hard Case Crime imprint, Ardai is also a consulting producer to “Haven,” the wicked cool supernatural drama on the Syfy network. It stars the beautiful and haunting Emily Rose – who you might recognize from HBO’s “John from Cincinnati” or ABC’s “Brothers and Sisters,” as “Audrey Parker,” Lucas Bryant as “Sheriff Nathan Wuornos,” and, as bad boy Duke Crocker, “Six Feet Under” veteran Eric Balfour.

From 2012: Tom Inge has made a cottage industry of collecting the best interviews done with a variety of pop culture figures of the 20th century and bringing them out in book form. All told, he’s responsible for a remarkable 40 books, putting together volumes featuring as diverse a crowd as “Peanuts” comic strip creator Charles Schulz and American literary lion William Faulkner. His latest collection is familiar ground for me: Will Eisner: Conversations.
