He was in “Castle” and played a part in Ben Affleck’s film, "Argo." He’s also appeared in episodes of “Mad Men,” “Two and a Half Men,” and movies such as Horrible Bosses and David Fincher’s film, "The Social Network," about the origins of Facebook.

From 2012: This may surprise my friend Eric Deggans, but I think he actually owes Fox News Channel’s Bill O’Reilly a debt of gratitude. Seriously, Eric, think about how many years you kicked around the idea of doing a book without really honing in on the topic – or the provocation. Then along comes the no-spin zone guy, host of “The O’Reilly Factor,” to pluck you from the nattering nabobs of negativity in the media for special attention.

From 2012: Former Minnesota Gov. Jesse Ventura made headlines last week when he kicked off the publicity tour for his latest book, "Democrips and ReBloodlicans: No More Gangs in Government," on Howard Stern’s Sirius radio show and not only announced his interest in running for president in 2016 as an independent, but making a convincing argument that Stern—who once ran for governor of New York—should be his vice president. We’ll talk about that.

From 2012: Finally, back in the business of reading the latest Graham Gage thriller by Steven Gore! I was excited to discover the release of Power Blind, the latest novel serving up the adventures of private detective Gage. These books are the equivalent of popcorn movies for me: tasty and explosive and I never want to stop until I get to the end.

From 2012: You've probably seen David Misch's TV work over the years; he won an Emmy Award for Best New Comedy Series as a writer on "Mork and Mindy" starring Robin Williams and was executive producer of the animated series "Duckman," which featured Jason Alexander voicing the lead role. More recently, Misch teaches musical satire at UCLA and a course called "Practical Foundations of Comedy" at USC.

From 2012: J.C. Isabella wanted to write books. But doing it the old fashioned way – you know, with paper and ink – can be a torturous, time-consuming process with no promise of success. And so, modern, resourceful young twenty-something that she is, J.C. chose the do-it-yourself route. From 2012: Bradley Cooper may have gotten his stardust from Erinn Hayes when they co-starred on "Kitchen Confidential." What makes me think that? Well, another "Hangover" star, Ken Jeong, was still better known as a real-life M.D. before his appearances on “Worst Week,” which starred… Erinn Hayes. It’s wonderful to see the beautiful and talented Erinn Hayes back in action on "Guys With Kids."

She was the live wire, wise crackin’, anything but predictable female comedy writer on “The Alan Brady Show,” the show-within-a-show portion of “The Dick Van Dyke Show.” And yes, that was 50 years ago. And yes, Rose Marie is still working, still getting gigs and still making Betty White look over her shoulder and go, “Really?”
