  • The Murderers Of Brianna Ghey Get Their Sentencing -
The girl and boy who murdered 16-year-old Brianna Ghey will be jailed until they "no longer present a danger" to the public, a judge has told them during their sentencing.
The killers, both 16, who were named for the first time earlier today, had denied murder and blamed each other for the attack on Brianna, which was described as "horrific" by detectives.
Scarlett Jenkinson and Eddie Ratcliffe were aged 15 when they carried out their "disturbing" plan to murder her in a "frenzied and ferocious" attack with a hunting knife.
Jenkinson was jailed for at least 22 years and Ratcliffe for a minimum of 20 years. They will be transferred to adult prisons when they turn 18.

  • nikki minaj vs the megan stallion. WHO WON?!?!
The rappers appeared to have an amicable relationship before tensions exploded on Friday when Megan, 28, debuted her latest single, "Hiss." While Megan took aim at several unnamed people on the track, many fans believe she also mocked Minaj, 41, and her husband. This prompted Minaj to diss Megan on Instagram Live and X, formerly known as Twitter.
In one post, Minaj appeared to say that Megan was a "manipulative liar" and that she used ghostwriters for music.
"Every album she's ever released= flopped," Minaj wrote about Megan.
Here's a more detailed look at their current feud.

  • Live Stream 01/29/2024 - Tom MacDonald Is Trying To Censor Our Podcast
"In its most general sense, a fair use is any copying of copyrighted material done for a limited and “transformative” purpose, such as to comment upon, criticize, or parody a copyrighted work. Such uses can be done without permission from the copyright owner."
-that quote comes from the Stanford library-
My wife and I have been having fun and earning some income recording audio programs together for 10 years. 10 years.
    10 years.
So Tom MacDonald And Ben Shapiro took memes and talking points and turned them into something resembling a song.
We have had copywritten music on for discussion, review and just to clown on it sporadically throughout the decade.
We've done this with Battle Emcees, Crip Hoppers, Mumble Rappers, Thug Rap, reality TV Rappers and even Trap Rap.  It's always gone smoothly.
When recording, I make a double of the audio. I have one recording going straight to blogtalk radio and one recording directly in my home computer.  The home computer recording is always used to replace the blogtalk recording and go out as the official audio.  (for 10 years).
It's good to have that rough blogtalk recording so if we have hiccups in the home recording, we can patch them in editing.
This was one of those times that we had a pretty BIG hiccup. When I pulled the blogtalk audio to start patching it up, I noticed something.
The Canadian with inexplicably damp struggle braids put so much preemptive protection on his music that blogtalk automatically muted all the parts when I played a clip of his record. I first wondered if this was because the production company was based in Canada and maybe different laws but we've covered artists with production companies out of Canada, Australia and the UK.

  • reproductive rights
    Hey, gang.
Phoenix Calida sat in for this one.
I start with a very angry segment on reproductive rights and from there Phoenix Calida joins and the episode becomes a lot more reasonable.
We have a good old fashioned Wine Cellar episode.  We talk policy, philosophy, and tangent to our heart's content.

  • Texas Is Getting Predictably Worse On Reproductive Rights
The US government cannot enforce federal guidance in Texas requiring emergency room doctors to perform abortions if necessary to stabilize emergency room patients, a federal appeals court ruled on Tuesday, siding with the state in a lawsuit accusing Joe Biden’s administration of overstepping its authority.
The ruling by a unanimous panel of the fifth US circuit court of appeals comes amid a wave of lawsuits focusing on when abortions can be provided in states whose abortion bans have exceptions for medical emergencies.
The US department of justice declined to comment. The office of Ken Paxton, the Texas attorney general and two anti-abortion medical associations that challenged the guidance – the American Association of Pro-Life Obstetricians & Gynecologists and the Christian Medical & Dental Associations – did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
The Biden administration in July 2022 issued guidance stating that the Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act (Emtala), a federal law governing emergency rooms, can require abortion when necessary to stabilize a patient with a medical emergency, even in states where it is banned. The guidance came soon after the US supreme court overturned its landmark Roe v Wade ruling, which since 1973 had guaranteed a right to abortion nationwide.

  • What Is Marc Lamont Hill's Beef With Boosie And Color Purple?
    Hey gang.
This episode is a straight up long form reaction.
    It's a reaction to a reaction.
    It's a reaction to a reaction to a reaction.
I don't wanna hit my audience in the face with a book but it's kinda meta like that.
Speaking of books. Marc Lamont Hill talks about black people from the streets the way white people talk about black people from Earth.
I found Marc to be offensive, pig headed, arrogant, classist, elitist and running straight shameless ass click bait for his audience. I don't respect him, his commentary or his haircut.
I also dislike Boosie's commentary.... and his haircut too.
I'm also no fool and I get where Marc is coming from. In a bad way.
