Psalm 1 gives us a plain contrast of the godly man and the godless man. The traits and practices of the godly man should be the application of every believer.

James gives a pronouncement of coming judgment on the rich. Who are the rich he is referencing- What does it mean for believers-

Paul and Silas are put into prison for their work in the gospel ministry at Philippi. Was their imprisonment an accident or was it providential- Through their being in prison a jailor and his family come to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ.

Are you a growing Christian- Does your physical age mean your a grown up Christian- Does the number of years you've been saved determine how mature you are spiritually- Peter tells his readers to grow in grace. Growing spiritually must be a priority of the believer.

Paul had a conviction to forget those things that were behind him press forward in his Christian life. Are you satisfied with where you are in your Christian life- Have you become stagnate- Do you need to press forward to what God has before you- Even though Paul had accomplished much for Christ, he did not live on what he had already done. He pressed forward in his Christian life.

Does God open doors to preach Christ- Are there divine appointments in which we must share Christ- As a Christian, our responsiblity is to tell people of the gospel at every opportunity we get. We must go near to the lost, warning them of sin and witnessing to them of the Savior.

Are we aware of the spritual warfare we are engaged in- Do we realize our adversary and his tactics- Satan is constanly working agains the lives of Christians in various way. We must beware and walk closely with Christ to live in victory.

What should be priority when it comes to the mission of the church- Paul's misison and calling was to preach Christ. That is also the mission of the church. Only through preaching Christ, the pure gospel will the lost be saved.
