Types are pictures that foreshadow something or someone to come. These types are made clear through the revelation of the New Testament. Jesus permeates all of the Bible, both the Old and New Testament.

As Christians, we are called to be in control and temperate in all things. In this fallen world there are many things that tempt us to lose control of our attitude, emotions, thoughts, words, and actions. The Christian can obey their calling to be in control of their spirit through the power of the Holy Spirit.
