Is this world the home of the Christian- The Bible displays a picture of the Christian life as being a foreigner in this world. Christians are called out of this world unto Jesus. This world is not their home. They just passing through. How then should the Christian live as a foreigner in this world- The Bible shows us the answer.

Is Jesus really eternal- Is the eternal nature of Jesus important- People throughout history have wrestled with this great doctrine of Jesus' eternal nature. It is a truth that is beyond the comprehension of a man's mind. Some deny it, some get mad about it, and some create false teachings to bypass it. Scripture reveals that the eternal nature of Jesus is essential to our salvation.

God's people throughout the whole of the Bible are likened to sheep in the flock of a shepherd. There is great truth and application from this picture of the Christian life. In Christ, we have the greatest Shepherd that sheep could ever have. Listen to what the scriptures say about being a sheep in God's flock.

How important is it that we know Jesus- Words cannot express the measure of the importance of knowing Him. We must know Him personally as our Savior to have eternal life. Beyond just being saved, Christians must grow in their knowledge of Jesus as revealed in the scripture. How well do you know Jesus-

How powerful is prayer- We see the power of prayer throughout the whole of the Bible. James gives instruction to these suffering believers about their need for prayer, calling on others to pray for them and the importance of believers praying for each other.

The Bible gives several pictures of what the Christian life is and how it is to be lived out. In this message we see that each believer is a child of God, born again into His family. Every believer should recognize what a tremendous blessing it is to have God as our heavenly Father and forever be in His family.

What seems like an impossible situation turns into a powerful demonstration from Christ. Feeding over 5000 people at the end of the day with little food seemed impossible, but not with Christ. Little is much with Christ. We must trust Him and give our all to Him.

As believers endure suffering and trial, what should be our response- James gives believers the command to be patient in their suffering because Jesus is coming again. We should look to the examples of others who have edured affliction already and were patient through it.

God's people are a consecrated people. They are meant to be pure, holy, strong, courageous, obedient and faithful. Sometimes God's people find themselves in places they ought not to be. We see a few examples of this in scripture.
