Have you ever had your life turned upside down, or at least it seemed that way- Sometimes we enter into a season of life in which all that was normal is stripped away. Job was a man who experienced great suffering. In Job's suffering there are important truths the Christian must recognize for their own times of suffering.

Jesus the King ascended to heaven after His completion of redemption. He presently reigns from His throne. But is that the end to the story- Jesus the King will return and on that day all the world will know it. The King is coming- Are you ready-

Was Jesus truly a King- He was clearly presented as the King before He was crucified and rose again. If He is alive and the King, does He have a throne- What happened with the King after His resurrection- What about His kingdom- Scripture shows us the great truth that Jesus the King reigns now and forever over His kingdom.

What kind of King who is supposed to reign forever dies- How could a King who was able to heal all disease, cast out devils, command nature and even raise the dead himself, die- Jesus had power over all things. Now He would show His power over death itself. King Jesus overcame the greatest of all enemies, death. He arose and lives forever-

Do you remember how Jesus was received at the beginning of Passover week- They welcomed Him as their King. But now, just a few days later we see Jesus on trial and the people of Israel crying -Crucify Him.- The KIng is rejected. The wonderful truth about the rejection of the King is that it accomplished redemption.

When a king comes to town, what kind of reception would you expect that king to receive- Jesus is the true King of all kings. He had a triumphal entry into Jerusalem where the people praised Him and received Him as King. But just days later He would be crucified. What happened-

Do you ever grow weary- Have you felt like you're about to faint- Where do you go when you need strength- True strength comes from the Lord. He is the Almighty God who alone can renew our strength. We can receive that strength by waiting upon Him.

Do you have hope- What is hope- Many people think that hope is that feeling there is a good chance things will turn out the way we would like. But that is not true hope. Hope is not an unsure anticipation, but a confident expectation. This hope is only found in Jesus. He is our hope both for this life and the next. Do you have this hope-

What do we need in times of great tribulation and trial- We need comfort. Paul describes God as the -God of all comfort.- Paul knew God's comfort in his tribulations. We too can know the comfort of God in our hardships through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Have you ever felt like the Lord was absent in your time of need- Have you ever thought things could have been different if the Lord had stepped in and done something- Mary and Martha both have that perspective when the Lord arrives after the death of Lazarus. But the truth is, the Lord is never absent and He is never late. The Lord is working in ways beyond what we presently see for His greater purpose.
