The Joy of Advent is the Father’s delight in us, His fierce love fighting for us, and the gift of His Son who redeems and restores us.

This third Sunday of Advent we celebrate the coming Savior who is our Mighty Warrior. We rejoice that He is Emmanuel, God with us. And we humbly worship Him as He sings over us.

Big Idea: God's love and delight over us produce gladness and joy in us.

We celebrate God’s Love on this second week of Advent.

God loved His creation enough to provide forgiveness and reconciliation through His Son Jesus. God’s love doesn’t stop with this rescue, though. He also loves us enough to refine the impurities and scrub the filth from His people.

Our trials and challenges are opportunities for God’s refining fire to transform our hearts and change the way we live. Out of the ashes and smoke comes the pure gold.

We wait expectantly for the coming Refiner.

This Sunday we begin our Advent journey with The Power of Hope as we wait expectantly for the promised One.

What is hope? An abstract idea? A feeling? Is it the same as faith?

Hope is a sense that things are going to be great or get better. It is desire or longing for things to go our way.

But in what do we place our hope? Or in whom? Well placed hope will change our priorities and motivate us to live differently.

This Advent season as always, we place our hope in the coming promised Lord of Righteousness.
