Hard Rock International officially took control of Mirage Las Vegas this week. With the transition comes a new player's club, but that also means a potentially lucrative status match opportunity. There were some woes with the transition though. We'll discuss them.

This week brought a lot of news including the official changeover of Bally's to Horseshoe Las Vegas. We also learned the exact date that Hard Rock will takeover the Mirage from MGM Resorts. Hint: It's in just a few days, but construction won't begin for awhile.

In other news, the old site of the Fiesta Henderson was bought by the city in order to turn it into a public sports facility. The city also swapped land with Station Casinos as they announced their brand new high-end resort Inspirada Station in West Henderson. Yes, another big Vegas casino project is coming!

On this week's show we discuss Las Vegas hitting an all-time record for passengers coming into Harry Reid International Airport. Will it ever slow down? Plus Blackstone has sold its share in MGM Grand and Mandalay Bay. Does VICI Properties own too much of the Strip? We also discuss the new Mt. Charleston Lodge and some of the craziest fees in Vegas.

In the second part we dive deep into all of the new info released about the transition of Mirage to Hard Rock Las Vegas. We learned that Hard Rock will essentially gut Mirage while doubling the casino space, adding over 600 rooms and building two entirely new pool areas. The property will also be extended out to the Strip meaning this is a massive top to bottom change.

We learned some big news about Mirage Las Vegas this week that will see the end of two popular venues at the hotel when it changes ownership to Hard Rock later this year. The Dolphin Habitat and Secret Garden attractions are now permanently closed following a temporary closure after a dolphin died a couple of months ago. After several years the Las Vegas Convention & Visitor's Authority has now agreed to sell a prime piece of land on the Las Vegas Strip. The former Riviera frontage is about to be sold to a new player for Las Vegas.
