Seven. Seven straight summers that the road through to the NBA championship has had to go through LeBron James. And that doesn't look to change any time soon. It's the most wonderful time of the year.

• Avengers Standoff: Assault on Pleasant Hill #1 -3
• Civil War 2
  • Civil War 2: The Oath
• Captain America: Sam Wilson

Having a podcast means a lot of things, but today it means reconnecting with an old friend who is doing really dope things. We've got Stephen Satterfield of Whetstone magazine on this week about the journey from high school basketball to international wines and food. We also tackle the sports issues of the week like stadium grift, Colin Kaepernick's blackballing, Tom Brady's wife coming clean about concussions, and the inevitable (?!?) Warriors win.

Topics:

• A helluva journey leading to Whetstone.
• NBA's performative social stances.
• Evil money grubbing Cobb County Braves.
• Raiders robbing Vegas.
• What's going on in Seattle?
• OF COURSE Tom Brady had concussions.
• The Warriors are historically good...
• But are they good enough?

Arrow's 5th season wraps with what is probably the best episode CW has ever done. Lian Yu is not just a great season finale but it ends a 10 year arc for Oliver Queen's story (5 years of flashbacks & 5 years of present day story telling).  We say goodbye to a great character that's been a staple on the show while welcoming back Deathstroke. Everything lands this episode and returns Arrow to the top to claim its place among CW's DC shows.  We can't speak highly enough about this episode. Listen to our review as we break down what makes this episode so great.

Oliver assembles a group of unlikely allies - Slade, Nyssa, Merlyn and Digger Harkness - to engage in an epic battle against Chase and his army.

What the hell was that? Kriss and Dpalm are back to review, discuss and rip apart the season 3 finale of The Flash. Seriously, we’re almost at a loss for words at what we watched. Sure, this season has had some rough moments, but we still expected this finale to rise above all of that and give us at least a solid footing to defend the season. But it doesn’t. From the cop out with the Iris/HR switch to Barry trying to play nice with Savitar, none of it is executed well. We go over all the plot holes and issues and hope that Season 4 the show brings back it’s ‘A’ game.

With nothing left to lose, Barry takes on Savitar in an epic conclusion.

Our war here at UDPod against the machines wages onward, but we have an ace up our sleeve this week: ESPN Alumni Nata joins us to talk all there is in sports...again. Technical difficulties notwithstanding, come to hear the DIY ethos that carried him all the way to Bristol and what lies next in the ever changing sports landscape. Plus, we talk NHL (I know), MLB (I KNOW!), and of course these NBA Playoffs. Topics:

• HockeyTown, Tennessee!
• Aaron Judge and baseball's bad look.
• Feds need to pay Baylor a visit.
• New Mexico bad at laundering money.
• Texas on pace to make the same mistake North Carolina did.
• Locker room amenities: players hustling backwards.
• Celebrations back!
• LeBron James is the MVP every year.
• Is Kevin Durant a coward? No.
• MVP: Don't hinder Jinder.

Shanna & The Doctor are here to review the season 2 finale of Supergirl, "Nevertheless, She Persisted" . Rhea and Supergirl face off for the fate of the Earth in a season finale that is entertaining and attempts to close loose ends, but winds up being mildly dissatisfying with the lack of inclusion of some characters and plot holes here and there.  That said, it was a much better season and season finale than last season, earning the season an overall grade of B.

Supergirl challenges Rhea to battle to save National City. Meanwhile, Superman returns and Cat Grant offers Supergirl some sage advice.
