MTR Network Main Feed

We've been singing the praises of this Season of Arrow for good reason, it's been really good. This episode, while good, does have some puzzling choices in it. While it's great to see Oliver back in the suit, we were expecting a bigger deal to be made about it. Despite that and other small issues, the theme they've been pushing with getting Oliver to let go of the paste and move forward has been  great one. Listen to our break down of this episode and let us know what you think.

Kriss and Phenom review King Arthur: Legend of the Sword directed by Guy Ritchie and starring Charlie Hunnam, Jude Law and a bunch of other people that ultimately don't matter. This movie just flat out isn't good and isn't entertaining in any way. We break down what ultimately fails this movie and what your options are. Spoiler Alert: Just go watch Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 again and play Shadow of Mordor. Stream/Download our review for the whole review.

Robbed of his birthright, Arthur comes up the hard way in the back alleys of the city. But once he pulls the sword from the stone, he is forced to acknowledge his true legacy - whether he likes it or not.

Week after Week we sing the praises of Agents of SHIELD. There's really nothing left to say. They managed to bring Fitz back full circle with his feelings towards Ward from Season 1. They also manage to use a clever way of recapping the earlier storylines by having Coulson catch the real Agent May up on what she missed when she was replaced by a robot. We then got some great performances by Ian De Caestecker and Mallory Jansen this episode. We're not really sure of the mindset of Fitz until about halfway through the episode. And Jansen has done a great job all season as Aida and really shines playing a newly humanized Aida that is being flooded with new human emotions.

There's so much in this episode. Stream/Download the episode to get our full recap and discussion.

We finally know who Savitar is. Well, if you've been even halfway paying attention this season it's been fairly obvious for a while now. This season has been plagued with some ill-timed breaks and pacing issues and that leads to some valid questions about this season as a whole and this episode. But Kriss & Dpalm see the bright side and point out some good things that work in this particular episode as well as give hope for how this season can finish strong in the last 3 episode. Also, Killer Frost does a better Iceman than the X-Men movies ever have.

We're finally ready to finish off the Green Lanterns. We continue with the rest of Geoff John's run through the War of Light, Blackest Night, Brightest Day all the way through New 52 and the DC Rebirth. We talk about some of the issues that happen with this run where it just starts to get to be too much. But there is also a lot of good that comes from it (the additional Corps along the color spectrum, a conclusion on Sinestro's run and the introduction of Simon Baz). Outside of Johns, we talk about how good the Green Lantern Corps book is and how it does a great job on telling stories outside of the Earth Lanterns.

There's a lot to read here. We list the major books we read but also include links to the entire reading order for storylines like Blackest Night.

• War of Light
  • Green Lantern #29 - 35 Secret Origin
  • Green Lantern Corps #20-26 - Ring Quest
  • Rage of the Red Lanterns
  • Agent Orange (Green Lantern #39-42)
  • Green Lantern Corps: Sins of the Star Sapphire
• Blackest Night
  • Entire Blackest Night Reading Order (Includes non-GL books)
• Brightest Day
• War of the Green Lanterns
• Green Lantern #1-6 (Start of New 52)
• Ring Bearer New Guardians
• Rise of the Third Army
  • Green Lantern #13-16
  • Green Lantern Corps #13-16
  • New Guardians #13-16
  • Red Lanterns #13-16
  • Green Lantern Corps Annual #1

This episode of Arrow could have been called "Just listen to women". This episode has Lyla & Felicity each standing their ground against their respective loved one. And it works. There's been a lot of projecting and hypocrisy on the part of Diggle and Oliver and this episode addresses that. It also shows that Arrow has been better at handling romantic relationships in an adult way over The Flash and the rest of the DC TV shows. Doesn't mean its perfect, but its been treating them much better. There's also some really great small details that might be missed here and it serves as a great way to get Oliver back in the suit. Give our full review/recap a listen

Kriss is joined by Tim to talk about the latest from Marvel Studios, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2. The first movie was a surprise hit (to those who still doubted Marvel Studios). How does the sequel from James Gunn hold up? The answer is 'Very Well'. Bigger effects, more laughs, more cameos and going all in on the cosmic side of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Guardians of the Galaxy is a ton of fun. Stream or download our full review.
