Well, you can thank Donald Trump being horrible for this. Kriss and Dpalm have an "emergency" Insanity Check where they discuss Donald Trump's campaign falling apart, the latest debate (if we can call it that) and what to expect going forward.

Arrow is back for Season 5 and we think folks will be happy with the direction they seem to be going. Oliver has to juggle being Mayor and the Green Arrow and in doing so, it makes Oliver Queen actually matter. We think this was a really great premiere and even the flashbacks (the weakest parts of the last few seasons) were great. Give our recap a listen

The Flash is back this week with its Season 3 premiere, Flashpoint. As we said at the end of last season, Flashpoint only last one episode but there's clearly going to be lasting repercussions for Barry. What really stood out this episode was Matt Letscher as Eobard Thawne. We really get the contempt and hatred that Thawne and Barry have for each other this episode. We also find out the consequences of Barry's happy life. This was a great start to the new season. We talk about a lot here (even some early trolling from Kriss). Give it a listen.

For the inaugural solo pod, we're catching up with the stories from our first four episodes, and taking a lap around the NFL. If we talk about your team, it was probably negative. If we didn't, your team bored me. No college football coverage this week for no particular reason. Stop asking questions.

On this Super Tuesday Recap, we discuss the latest episode of Season 4 of Marvel's Agents of SHIELD, Meet The New Boss. But because this is a Super Tuesday Recap, we discuss so much more than that. We start off talking about the new trailer for Season 5 of Arrow, Supergirl joining the Super Hero Fight Club and the clip from the new season of Supergirl featuring Superman and the "Donner Feel". That's all before we get to talking about this episode of SHIELD. We discuss Daisy punishing herself, the Darkhold, our theory on Jeffery, the new SHIELD Director and more.

And that's not the end. Dpalm once again talks about More Than Meets the Eye and Kriss talks about the latest Civil War II books. Yes...this is a lot in one episode but you all will enjoy it so give it a listen.

It's time for another Character CornerLuke Cage debuts on Netflix this Friday. Misty Knight will also make her live action debut in that 13 episode series. We decided that this is going to be Part 1 of our Heroes for Hire series as its hard to talk about Luke Cage and Misty Knight without Danny Rand (Iron Fist) and Colleen Wing. So we'll definitely be talking more about Cage & Knight when we do Iron Fist/Colleen Wing next year, but we start you off with the essentials. Luke & Misty are both African-American characters that come from the blaxploitation era of Marvel but have become solid characters that are so much more than that. Luke Cage's origin story still holds up pretty well and is very relevant in today's climate. Misty Knight has never had her own solo book, but she's been central in several series. Give this episode a listen and check out the reading list. Most issues are on Marvel Unlimited.
Luke Cage:

• Luke Cage Hero For Hire
  • Issue #1 - First Appearance
  • Issues #8-9 - Beats up Doctor Doom for $200
• Power Man Volume 1 #48-49 - Meets Danny, Misty & Colleen for the first time & clears his name
• Power Man and Iron Fist Volume 1 - Starts at #50 picks up from #49 with Luke's name being cleared and teaming up with Danny
• Relationship with Jessica Jones
  • Alias
  • The Pluse
• New Avengers (2004) - Bendis Run
  • New Avengers Annual #1 - Wedding between Luke & Jessica
  • Issue #22 - Civil War Tie-In. Refuses to sign & joins Cap
  • Issue #47 - The story of when he fell for Jessica
• Mighty Avengers
• Power Man and Iron First (Current David Walker Run)

Misty Knight

• Marvel Premiere #21 - First Appearance
• Daughters of the Dragon
• Heroes for Hire (Volume 2)
• Heroes for Hire (Volume 3)
• Villains for Hire
• Fearless Defenders
• Captain America: Sam Wilson

Anytime you can resurrect the greatest podcasting duo of all time*, you do it. Run the Pod from the late DudeYouPodcast is back, and they're sharing the pain caused by college football with all of you. We whine about UGA (team and fans), we take a look ahead at the college football playoffs, and we continue to be annoyed by Cam Newton.

*Wholly unsubstantiated claim
