As BC's Minister of Indigenous Relations it is Murray Rankins job to implement Bill 40, the Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act or DRIPA, which was passed into law in 2019. National Chief Bellegarde asks him about the successes and challenges of implementing DRIPA, what lessons can be learned by Ottawa as Parliaments debates a federal version of that law, based on the UN Declaration of the Rights of Indigenous Peoples. They also discuss the place of First Nations law in Canada's legal system and how to overcome Systemic Racism.
