Music Crush Monday

Each and every Monday the both of us try our best to showcase a band that one of us loves, but this week we decided to take the week off. Instead we have Blake Wyland from the Tone Mob podcast showing us a band really means a lot to him. Definitely take a listen this week, especially if you follow the Tone Mob podcast because he doesn’t go the route you think he’s going to go!

Blake is a super awesome dude that we got to sit down with for a bit to record this episode. We’ve got a lot in common when it comes to music, and it felt like sitting down to talk with an old friend.

Did you miss us? It’s been a full week since you were listening to our sweet sweet voices. Have no fear though just like every single week we’ve got an action packed episode that we’re really excited about. Kevin finally plays a band that has been on his list from the beginning of this podcast, and he came prepared! There’s not a lot of info around on the band this week, but Kevin searched high and low for information and due to his relentless persistence in finding the answers he uncovered so many truths.

If you stick around for the whole episode you’ll find an awesome interview from the band’s lead singer. Kevin got to ask him a lot of the questions and really dig deep into the band’s history. Three cheers for Kevin…..and the mysterious lead singer!!

and welcome back to another special episode of the Music Crush Monday Podcast! Last week was special for a couple of reasons. First, it was our 52nd episode which means we have a full year of Music Crush Monday episodes! Pretty exciting stuff. Second, we were given a real awesome opportunity to talk with none other than Ted Bond himself from Craig’s Brother! So please go check that out if you haven’t already.

Which brings us to the next point, we already had this episode recorded where we were celebrating it being Episode 52! Hence the disclaimer before the episode starts. But you guys are cool, you get it, just imagine whenever we say 52 you actually hear 53! It will be a fun game to play.

This week is another chance for Kevin to present a band that he is really into. He had fun diving back into their catalog and re-listening to a lot of their music preparing for this episode. Kevin discovered this band after seeing them live as an opening act. Which in all reality, a lot of the time the opening acts don’t necessarily stick with you if you have never heard them before. For some reason, this band did! Tune in to find out who it is and let us know what you think!

The guys also talk about whether or not a band members personality would turn you off of their music? Kevin mentions that he has heard the singer of this band can be rude to people in public. Not sure if it is true or a misconception, but what do you think? Does something have to affect you personally for you not to be into the music anymore? Reach out to us and lets talk about it! All of our contact information is below! Don’t be shy!

We want to thank you for all of your support, be on the lookout for some exciting episodes coming up in the future! Don’t forget to leave us a review and rating on Apple Podcasts. That would REALLY help us out! As always, we will see you next Monday!

We need your help! This week we have a VERY special guest on the show. The lead singer of the band Craig’s Brother, Ted Bond joins Kevin and Steve! They have a great conversation about music and how and where it relates to current society. There are some really cool stories about Ted’s musical journey.

Where we need your help the most is Ted is showing us one of his friend’s band that he loves. The band is called Brookhurst and they’re coming up on the end of a Kickstarter campaign. When this episode airs there will only be a few days left to back this project so if you like what you hear, go out and do it! See the links below for our contact information, the featured band Brookhurst’s kickstarter and Craig’s Brother!

The whole point of this podcast is to share the music you love with others and that is exactly what Ted is doing for his friends. It certainly helps that the music is good but it is pretty amazing for him to take the time out of his busy day to talk about this band. Please go check them out, you will not be disappointed!

Be sure you subscribe to the podcast and give us a rating/review on Apple Podcasts, it would really help us out! We have some exciting stuff coming up on this show so do not want you to miss ANY of it. Thank you all for the support and we will see you Next Monday!

We’ve got another #TeamSteve week lined up and he has a bold prediction that it will blow Kevin’s mind! This episode features a cool band with an interesting story. There are ties to other bands within this band, can you pick up on who it is? There are times when tragedy strikes and sometimes things happen in life and you don’t have all of the answers. Thankfully people have music to use as an outlet to express feelings or opinions. The most relatable songs are the kind where the singer poses the same questions/opinions you may have.

If you or someone you know is struggling with thoughts of suicide, do not hesitate to call 1-800-273-8255. It could really change a life.

We hope you enjoy this week’s episode. As always we appreciate your support and interest in this show. Our hope is that we get you excited enough about these bands to continue on and check them out further. We’ll see you next Monday for EPISODE #52! 1 YEAR!!

We’ve made it to the 50th of this podcast and we couldn’t be more excited to have made it here. So many bands have been covered and we have so many more to go! Thank you for checking this out and sticking with us. If this is your first episode with us, welcome and if you feel so inclined please go back and check out the other episodes we have released.

Kevin is back in the hot seat this week and has been wanting to bring something a little different to the show. The band this week has SO many elements of different genres going on that it is interesting to hear how it all comes together. The band has a large number of members so it’s cool to hear how they can all be in different places but together all at the same time. This is a very interesting band that’s full of passion and Kevin is excited for you all to hear them.

The guys discuss on this episode how sometimes there might be that “fear” in showing someone a band because of either lyrical content or style. Has that ever happened to you? Have you not wanted to show someone a band because they might not be on board with what is being said? Kevin kind of felt that way for this band this week because of the lyrical content but wanted to show them with the hope the music speaks for itself. What bands do you love to listen to but have reservations telling others about? Reach out to us and let's talk about it! All of our contact information is down below and we certainly look forward to hearing from you!

Welcome back to another new episode of the Music Crush Monday Podcast and boy is this a good one! This episode is packed full of fun, curveballs, side notes, secret guests, and shoutouts! Steve brings another personal favorite that has had a long and successful career with multiple albums.

Kevin vastly underestimated this band. Sometimes you pigeon hole a band or even just like one of their albums so much that you've never ventured past it. Has that ever happened to you? We want to continue this conversation and discuss bands you’ve had this experience with. We're sure it happens more often than not but it’s always fun to discover other sides of bands that you may have not known really existed.

Please take a few moments and leave us a rating and review on Apple Podcasts and follow us on our social media pages to stay in the know!

Thank you all for the support of this show and we really hope you’re getting into these bands we’re presenting each week!

We are back with another brand new episode for your ears with Kevin back showing off another personal favorite! It’s one of those bands that has a unique sound that’s quite easy to spot.

Kevin has always been a fan of this band and and while researching for this episode found out the guitar player grew up and went to High School only about a 30 minute drive from where he grew up. Sometimes there is a pride factor that comes into play when you find stuff like that out. What bands or celebrities are from your area? Are there any cool stories you could share about that? Reach out to us and lets discuss! All of our contact information is listed below.

This time on the Music Crush Monday podcast Steve shows off a band that he’s loved since high school(a running trend recently), but was Kevin into the same band during high school? Where does this band fall in the Venn diagram of bands between Steve and Kevin? Maybe you have history with this band too. If you do contact us and maybe we can include your story in an upcoming episode.

Sometimes bands just have an energy or a special thing about them. This band truly stands out of the pack and Steve really hopes you enjoy them as much as he does. Kevin….maybe not so much or maybe he does, you’ll have to download and find out!
