Music Crush Monday

It’s Monday so you know the drill, we’re back with another new episode! As you may or may not know, we play music for each other but we do NOT say who the band is before the music is played. This week, Kevin presents the band and Steve doesn’t know who is going to be coming out of those speakers. The biggest question is, what will Steve think of this week’s band?

This band had an interesting start to their professional career but it seem like a band that just got lost in the mix for Kevin. He saw them live and really got into them, but they didn’t stick around too long for him. Kevin got to do some research for this episode and found out that their albums were all a part of a concept storyline. It’s always interesting to hear about how in depth the information goes. All of this shows the sort of dedication and talent this band has with their art.

Reach out to us with the contact information below to have a conversation about what bands you like that have concept albums or even a whole career around a concept. Thank you for tuning in this week and we will see you next Monday!

As always, below are the links to the band that is being featured on this episode. We are back with another episode of the Music Crush Monday podcast! This episode Steve is back with another band that he’s listened to for years! He’s also putting all his money on Kevin hating this band. Will he be surprised by Kevin’s reaction, or will his suspicions be proven to be true.

We certainly hope you enjoy this week’s band/episode and look forward to bringing you more music and bands each and every single Monday!

Welcome back to another episode of the Music Crush Monday Podcast and happy Monday to you! We are back with another band to present to you and another two songs for you to hopefully enjoy!

This week, Kevin is back presenting the music and it’s a band that he was SUPER into when they first came out. For some reason they fell off the radar for him after their debut EP and album but he couldn’t remember why. This band is still relevant and having a successful career, which means there was plenty of music for him to catch up on. After listening to the new stuff, it still didn’t catch for Kevin, but he can’t get enough of the early stuff. Has that ever happened to you? We want to hear your story, reach out to us at [email protected]. It’s kind of funny when it does happen because unless the band changed dramatically, there really shouldn’t be a reason for you to stop listening to them.

We certainly hope you enjoy this week’s band/episode and look forward to bringing you more music and bands each and every single Monday!

Welcome to the second episode of 2019! Kevin is back in charge of presenting the band this week. He's chosen to play a band he loves to just jam out to. Will Steve be on board or is he already preparing for next week’s episode while this one is being recorded?

This week’s band was highly respected in their scene/community. So much that when tragedy struck all the bands in the scene came together to help. This band had a shortened career because of it but they still had a lasting impact. Even though they will never be on Kevin’s top 10 list, they have one of those albums that he can throw on to get through a busy day at work or even make a drive more enjoyable.

Not every band on this show will be everyone’s cup of tea and that is quite alright. The beauty of music is it’s all opinion and personal taste but in the end nobody is really wrong. It is a fine line to walk but a band like this is a prime example of tastes differing from one person to the other. Thank you for joining us this week and we will see you next Monday!

On the 12th Day of Christmas the Music Crush Monday podcast gives to you the song “O Holy Night” by the Sidewalk Prophets. Kevin closes out these 12 days of Christmas episodes with his absolute favorite Christmas song! Kevin and Steve both wish you all a Merry Christmas! Enjoy the day, and we will see you next Monday!

Artist: Sidewalk Prophets
Song: O Holy Night
Album: Because It’s Christmas Ep

On the 11th Day of Christmas the Music Crush Monday Podcast gave to you the song “The Reason We Celebrate” by The Roosevelts. Steve dove deep into the past with this one, and doesn’t think many people have ever even heard this song before. If you listen closely at the end you may hear the dulcet tones of Steve and Janet in the choir! For real though this is a band from when Steve was interning for Word of Mouth Records in Medina, NY, and this was his absolute favorite band on the label. This also happens to be the last song of the 12 days of Christmas from Steve! He really hopes you’ve enjoyed the song choices he’s picked and looks forward to the new year and what things are in store for the podcast!

Artist: The Roosevelts
Song: The Reason We Celebrate

On the 10th Day of Christmas the Music Crush Monday Podcast gave to me the song “I Celebrate The Day” by Relient K. When Kevin was thinking about what songs he wanted to do for the podcast this song immediately came to mind and it was fate he had to show it to you all. We’re almost done with these episodes, and hope you’re getting into the Holiday Spirit.

Artist: Relient K
Song: I Celebrate The Day
Album: Reindeer Baby, Let It Snow
