Last year was my year SEASONED WITH GRACE and now that I look at it, i needed the grace for another turbulent year in my life.

Now this Year is My

SEASON OF REST AND SPLENDOUR. My Splendour has kicked off long in my mind...

These words or more like the theme for my year comes to me in my prayer time.

I'm fully aware of my utterances.

The word splendour got me excited.

It is high time to enjoy the benefits and rewards of God's Love.

And it is high time for it to show in a glaring and glorious way!

You, know, most of my folks and some secondary school peeps thought that it was out of the frustration of not getting a white collar job, was why I succumbed to Baking Cakes.

I laughed,.when I heard it then.18years in Business suggests it started even before I could ever think or need a regular job.

Being conscious of who I am and aspiring for heights hit me early.

I didn't just want to trade Cakes.

I desired to build something sustainable.

And so I studied, developed my business sense, learned on the job,

I Love to come back home to fresh air,

clean floors and sheets to sleep on.

And of course, groceries and laundry done.

So, I've had a housekeeping done since 2020, when I caught a fever from obsessively cleaning at almost midnight after coming back from long hours at work!

I'm like! Please I can afford help here.

All these is geared towards being more efficient and productive in my single years as an entrepreneur.

Make the money,

Gratify yourself later.

it is now turning to a potential fortune in my hands

So, I have my plate full.

And then I get back home to talk to my long distance soon to be,

With an interesting accent and a serious time difference between us.

This is no rat or cat

It's way heavier

And the nights it decides to stroll in with its quick tempered lover

they bring their quarrels here .And they fight,

Its just on another level of inciting

as it makes my skin crawl.

So you see, on the notice board the result sheets had lets say, 350 students who sat for the exams. But the attendance that the lecturer put forward had just about 230 0r so students, what happened to the other 120? were they ghosts? How come they have results and they never sat for the exams?

He paid someone, an aide of the lecturer,

He had access to another booklet which he rewrote after the exams and outside the hall premises.

All in the bid to perform better.

So this guy, the lecturers aide who ought to know better.

Went back to plant the new script and remove the old script.

I knew already by my 2nd year that I would not make the honours list

The sadness that enveloped my heart was great but, just there at the result board I decided that what was worth doing was worth doing well.

And that I would do it for myself and just get the satisfaction of proving to myself I can get good grades even if 1st class or even the possibility of a 2,1 seemed awfully bleak.

Two days Ago, my Maths teacher responded to my status with a thumbs up; You are doing well. It meant a great deal to me.

He once asked me why I remained so passive in class. I never responded even to that question.

I had begun to develop a fear for maths.

I always take in my new environment and my silence was my weapon of protection from whatever intended to crack my cool.
